Previously, on the evening of November 12, the group went to Road 146 (Binh My Commune, Cu Chi District, Ho Chi Minh City). Here, the subjects divided into 2 small groups and waited for passersby to pass by to rob.
At this time, Mr. D. (born in 1984, residing in Cu Chi district) was riding a motorbike when the group stopped him pretending to ask for directions. Then, a subject quickly pulled out a knife and demanded that Mr. D. give him money or else they would "deal with him". Mr. D. took 100,000 VND from his pocket and gave it to the group, then the group took out his motorbike key and threw it into the river.
