Closing ceremony of Khmer language training class for An Giang armed forces

VINH LONG On the afternoon of November 5, the Military Command of An Giang province coordinated with Tra Vinh University to organize the closing ceremony of the Khmer language training class in 2025.

Over a period of 2 months, 50 students who are officers and professional soldiers of agencies and units of the armed forces of An Giang province were taught basic Khmer language and conversational Khmer language by experienced lecturers of Victory Foreign Language - Information Technology Center, Tra Vinh University, for 480 periods (300 periods in class and 180 periods of self-study).

In addition, students are also equipped with knowledge of language (phonetics, grammar, vocabulary, semantics), thereby contributing to improving communication skills in Khmer; at the same time, they learn general knowledge about culture - society , customs, and daily life of the Khmer people.

Colonel Cao Minh Tam, Deputy Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command, highly appreciated the sense of responsibility of the class organizing committee, the class executive committee, the lecturers, especially the serious learning spirit, sense of discipline and solidarity of the students. In the coming time, the Deputy Political Commissar requested each officer and professional soldier who completed this Khmer language training course to continue to self-study, self-research, improve Khmer language proficiency, effectively apply it in work, especially in building close relationships with ethnic minorities, contributing to consolidating the solid people's heart position.

At the end of the course, 100% of the students achieved good or excellent results, of which 70% achieved excellent results. The organizing committee awarded certificates of completion of the Khmer language training course in 2025 to the students.
