Actress Hoang Yen received mixed opinions when she shared pictures of herself shaving her head and becoming a nun. In response to these comments, Hoang Yen recently spoke up to clarify. She said this was just a short-term retreat, lasting 8 days. Now she has returned to normal life: "Everyone misunderstood. Currently, Hoang Yen is a normal person, not a nun like when she was in India."

"This is a short-term retreat. I was so moved because it was a big ceremony and I myself had made a wish to become a monk a month before going to India. I only participated in keeping the precepts for 8 days in India.

"Out of the 50 people in the Sangha who came with me, more than 30 of them, like me, also asked to become monks to cultivate their karma. Before returning to Vietnam, I also asked the monk to release my precepts and return to Vietnam as ordinary people," Ms. Xuyen Ve Nha Di Con added.

Hoang Yen denied rumors that she cut her hair because of disappointment in love after 4 failed relationships. She affirmed that she has not retired from acting and will continue to act in films in the future.

"I share clips or pictures in India because I want to share my wonderful feelings, the benefits of being in the homeland of Buddha, being a nun, keeping the precepts for 8 days and how happy I am. It's not that I am currently a nun and I want to show off.

I have returned to normal life and continue to act in movies. I still continue to livestream to sell products and chat with my sisters. Because I still have to raise my mother and children, I am not blessed enough to become a monk. Who knows, maybe at the end of my life I will be blessed enough to become a monk, which is also lucky," Hoang Yen shared.

Hoang Yen said she has now returned to normal life.

She emphasized that she shaved her head and practiced for a while because she wanted to show her gratitude to her parents: " If the audience saw me shave my head and cried for me, I would like to thank everyone for their kindness and affection. As for those who don't understand me and have bad words, I won't hold it against them."
