According to the report, from July 1, Gia Lai province has 135 communes and wards officially operating under the new administrative unit. Of which, 58 communes and wards in the Eastern region have been assigned targets since 2023 and are operating stably. For 77 communes and wards in the Western region, this is the first implementation, identified as an opportunity to innovate direction and administration, focusing on people and businesses as the center of service.
The Provincial People's Committee assigned 24 development targets covering the fields of economy , society, social security, environment, national defense and security. The key tasks are divided into two groups: a general group on organizational structure, economic development, and preparation for the Party Congress at the commune level for the 2025-2030 term; and a group by sector and field such as agriculture, industry, construction, trade, tourism, planning, site clearance, environment, social security, and national defense and security.

In his speech, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Ho Quoc Dung requested that localities, based on the assigned targets, need to review the potential and advantages of each region to supplement the congress documents; develop specific programs and action plans to effectively implement the goals. At the same time, urgently complete all types of land use planning and construction planning in August and September.
He emphasized that localities must proactively remove difficulties and obstacles, ensure the apparatus operates smoothly and effectively; focus on poverty reduction, clearly analyze the causes and have specific solutions to strive for the whole province to have no poor households in the next term.
Regarding investment attraction, the Provincial Party Secretary emphasized the consistent viewpoint: We must always think and act for the benefit of the people, the province and the country above all else.
