Provincial Party Secretary Tran Hong Minh attended the opening ceremony of the new school year at the provincial Ethnic Boarding High School.

On the morning of September 5, comrade Tran Hong Minh, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation attended the opening ceremony of the 2023-2024 school year at the Provincial Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities.

In the 2022-2023 school year, the Provincial Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities excellently completed its school year tasks; 94.6% of students achieved good and excellent academic performance, of which 52.2% achieved excellent academic performance; 100% achieved good and fair conduct, of which 98.7% achieved good conduct; 41 provincial-level excellent student awards; 3 provincial-level scientific and technical research awards; 100% passed the 12th grade high school graduation exam.

In the 2023-2024 school year, the school has 53 staff, teachers, employees and 421 students. Of these, 420 are ethnic minority students, 39 are ethnic minority students, very few are eligible for direct admission; orphans, poor households, and near-poor households account for more than 40%.

With the characteristics of both teaching, nurturing and training, in the 2023-2024 school year, the school continues to maintain stability and improve the quality of comprehensiveeducation ; strives for 100% to be classified as good or good conduct; 90% to be classified as good or excellent academic performance; 30 provincial-level excellent student competitions and 5-10 other competitions. Cadres, teachers and staff constantly improve teaching methods and teaching services in the direction of stimulating students' creative thinking, focusing on self-study, self-cultivation and training capacity, especially soft skills to be ready to advance into science and technology and international integration. The school maintains the title of excellent emulation unit, mass organizations strive to maintain excellent rankings, leading in movements and activities; Continue to expand the school to 14 classes with 490 students in the 2024-2025 school year; ensure proper and adequate service according to current regulations; gradually build a cultural, safe and smart school.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Provincial Party Secretary Tran Hong Minh requested the school to continue to make positive changes, successfully complete the school year's tasks, and meet the requirements of educational innovation. Party committees and local authorities at all levels should strengthen leadership, direction, and organization of the implementation of the Party's policies on education and training, mobilize social forces to participate in the development of education, and promote the promotion of learning and talent. All levels, sectors, unions, and socio-political organizations should closely coordinate with the school to effectively carry out the political tasks of the education and training sector.

On this occasion, Provincial Party Secretary Tran Hong Minh presented 1 set of computers and 1 set of projectors to the school; the Provincial People's Committee Chairman awarded Certificates of Merit to 10 individuals with outstanding achievements in performing tasks in the 2021-2022 and 2022-2023 school years; the Department of Education and Training awarded the title of Emulation Fighter to 7 individuals with outstanding achievements in performing tasks in the 2022-2023 school year.
