The patrol team arrested a truck LA 01618 (15CV capacity, 10 tons total load) driven by Le Van Phuong (born in 1981).

At 1:00 a.m. on May 20, after receiving a report from the people, the Commander of Nha Rong Border Gate Station (Ho Chi Minh City Border Guard) sent a working group to arrest a group illegally mining sand on the river.

The patrol team quickly boarded two canoes to the Dong Nai River area, the border area between Long Tan Commune, Nhon Trach District, Dong Nai Province and Long Truong Ward, Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City. The patrol team discovered a number of vehicles illegally pumping sand and pumping it onto the transport boat.

The patrol team approached the scene, some subjects were discovered and ran into canals in Dong Nai province to escape.

The patrol team arrested a truck LA 01618 (15CV capacity, 10 tons total load) driven by Le Van Phuong (born in 1981), with 2m3 of sand on board.

At the time of inspection, Le Van Phuong could not present invoices and documents for the amount of sand on the vehicle and was operating the vehicle without a captain and chief engineer certificate. The LA 01618 cargo boat had a certificate of technical safety and environmental protection but it had expired.

Border guards brought the violating boat back to the station.

The working group escorted the exhibits and vehicles to Nha Rong Port Border Guard Station for further verification and clarification.
