On the same day, the Ethnic Affairs Committee of Dak Lak province also held the opening ceremony for another training course in ethnic minority languages for officials and civil servants at the commune level in ethnic minority areas of Buon Ho town. Deputy Head of the Ethnic Affairs Committee Le Ngoc Vinh attended the opening ceremony.
These training courses are part of the activities implemented under Content No. 1, Sub-project 2, Project 5: Ethnic Knowledge Training under the National Target Program for Socio -Economic Development of Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas in 2024. The aim is to raise awareness of ethnic affairs and policies, update knowledge on ethnic minorities and their culture for civil servants and officials who interact and work with ethnic minorities, contributing to the effective implementation of propaganda and mobilization efforts among ethnic minorities for socio-economic development and strengthening national unity.
The course content was implemented in accordance with Circular No. 09/2023/TT-BGDDT dated April 18, 2023, of the Ministry of Education and Training on the promulgation of regulations on organizing training, refresher courses, and certification of ethnic minority languages. The two classes included 92 members who are commune-level officials and civil servants.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the training course in Krong Pac district, Head of the Ethnic Affairs Committee Nguyen Kinh emphasized: Dak Lak province has a large population of Ede ethnic people, and mastering the Ede language will help officials and civil servants better understand the lives and customs of the local people, thereby improving the effectiveness of management and implementation of programs and policies.
The course will provide civil servants and officials in ethnic minority areas with useful tools to work more effectively, especially in the process of disseminating the Party and State's policies and laws to ethnic minority communities.
The Head of the Ethnic Affairs Committee also expressed that preserving and promoting the languages of ethnic minorities has always been a priority for the Party and the State, not only to protect ethnic cultural identity, but also as a necessary condition for effectively implementing policies and programs to support socio-economic development in ethnic minority areas. He hoped that the trainees would strive diligently, seriously absorb the knowledge, and practice together to complete the program with the best possible results. He also expressed his hope that the teachers would enthusiastically teach and create the most favorable conditions for the trainees to master the language and apply it to their practical work.
The Ethnic Affairs Committee of Dak Lak province is opening a class to teach the Ede language to commune officials.
