Familiar characters on many social networking platforms ZooKiZ have appeared in Vietnam in the comic series “ZooKiZ and the mysterious science school” published by Kim Dong Publishing House. In particular, the series features Vietnamese characteristics such as Ha Long Bay, red phoenix flowers, etc.

First appearing in 2018, ZooKiZ, including the mischievous rabbit Kiki, the gluttonous bear Bongbong, the grumpy "tiger dog" Alex, the silly pet mouse Ppuyo, the graceful lazy Nana, and the playful poodle Pang, quickly won the hearts of many users on social networking platforms.

Authors Jae Hoon Choi and Myeong Seon Lee have developed these adorable icons into a series of fun science-themed comics for children aged 8 to 13 in Vietnam.

With the collaboration of two famous Korean authors, “ZooKiZ and the School of Mysterious Science” combines scientific knowledge with cute, witty, adorable stories and funny drawings, suitable for young readers.

To create this comic series, the two authors Jae Hoon Choi and Myeong Seon Lee spent a lot of time researching and seeking ideas from young Vietnamese readers.

The authors even read Vietnamese textbooks to refer to the knowledge in the books, thereby building the story content that is closest to the children's curriculum. The authors said they wanted to create a science comic series so that children could approach and love science, making learning science more attractive.

The series also contains many Vietnamese elements that will surely delight many readers, such as Ha Long Bay, red phoenix flowers, etc. The authors believe that as long as the story contains familiar cultural, geographical, and social elements, children will be more interested and find reading more appealing. From that perspective, the group of authors has chosen images and materials familiar to Vietnamese children to reach readers more easily.

Explaining this, the group of authors shared: “Science comics, even if they only have a few familiar elements surrounding children’s lives, will make learning science more attractive. From that perspective, instead of choosing unfamiliar settings, we chose images and materials familiar to Vietnamese children to approach them more easily and interestingly.”

Another interesting point of "ZooKiZ and the School of Mystery Science" is that the group of characters have similar personality traits to active children who love to explore everything around them.

The series shows the similarities between the characters and many young readers, so that children can easily find their own image and easily sympathize with the ZooKiZ characters placed in the context of this series, thereby also helping them to absorb the knowledge in the series more.

The comic series "Zookiz and the School of Mysterious Science" was written by Korean author Myeong Seon Lee, Jae Hoon Choi and illustrated by Zookiz. The series revolves around the group of friends Zookiz with exciting and humorous adventures at the School of Mysterious Science, and learns a lot of useful knowledge.

"ZooKiZ and the School of Mysterious Science" was released on April 21 with the first 3 volumes - the beginning of a long-running comic series. Each volume comes with a cute gift for young Vietnamese readers, such as a timetable, ruler, stickers, notebook labels...
