In the process of urban development, planning work is carried out systematically, long-term and one step ahead to create growth momentum and exploit development potential. The Provincial People's Committee has approved the adjustment of the General Planning of Bim Son town to 2045. This is an important legal basis for planning management, construction investment, unleashing potential and attracting investment resources. On that basis, the town has established, appraised and approved 6 zoning planning projects, and at the same time established and adjusted 20 detailed planning projects for urban areas and residential areas, with a total cost of nearly 30 billion VND. The completion of urban planning has removed many obstacles, especially areas with unfeasible planning that have been adjusted, ensuring synchronous infrastructure between new and existing development areas, creating favorable conditions for the implementation of construction investment projects.

Technical infrastructure and social infrastructure are invested synchronously with priority capital from the State budget and forms of public-private partnership, and resources from the People. In particular, the town focuses resources on investing in important, connecting and spreading traffic works; investing in electricity, water and waste treatment infrastructure; at the same time, focusing on investing in infrastructure servingeducation and culture, meeting development requirements in all fields. From 2021-2025 alone, the total investment from the State budget for projects will reach about 1,605 billion VND.

Investment in technical infrastructure, especially the urban transport system, is focused on upgrading to improve the appearance and expand the urban space. In the period of 2021-2025, the town has been constructing, upgrading and renovating 17 roads, with a total length of 34km. Including large and key projects such as: upgrading and renovating Tran Phu Street (5km); traffic road from Tran Phu Street to Nam Bim Son 6 Street (2.8km); renovating and upgrading Tam Diep dike and Ha Lan bridge (8km); upgrading many urban roads such as Ton That Thuyet, Bui Xuong Trach, Dang Quang, Tran Nguyen Han, Ly Thuong Kiet... with a total investment of 1,023 billion VND.

Many public technical infrastructure works and residential infrastructure have been gradually renovated with a total investment of 219.98 billion VND. Typical examples include the 5.6km long National Highway 1A lighting system; technical infrastructure of residential areas south of Minh Khai Street, Dong Son Ward; the West area of Yet Kieu Street, the Northeast area of Quang Trung Commune Overpass... The power supply infrastructure has been gradually completed, contributing to improving the quality of power supply for production and daily life in the area. In the period of 2021-2025, the town and its functional sectors and units have built, renovated and upgraded a 110KV power station, 38 transformer stations, 56km of medium-voltage lines, and 18km of low-voltage lines. The town actively coordinated with investors to focus on removing difficulties and obstacles, speeding up key infrastructure projects in the area such as the Raw Water Supply System Project for Bim Son Town, Ha Trung District; Waste treatment plant project combined with power generation in Dong Son ward...

In addition to the technical infrastructure system, social infrastructure works have been focused on implementation, from the completion and putting into use of the Town Medical Center to the implementation of 27 projects, school solidification works with 223 classrooms along with newly built and synchronously renovated administrative buildings, boarding houses, and kitchens, contributing to improving the quality of teaching and learning in the area.

In particular, the town is gradually realizing its vision of sustainable development by expanding urban space with new urban and residential areas in a modern, green, clean direction, in line with the general trend of the whole province and the whole country. These include the Nam Co Dam residential area project (26ha); the market street residential area project in inner city area No. 2, West of National Highway 1A (24ha). Some projects are completing procedures to start construction such as: Bac Song Tong urban area (32ha), Nam National Highway 217B extended urban area (16ha), Kieu Le residential area (6.7ha). The town is speeding up the selection of investors to implement large-scale urban area projects such as the Nam Bim Son new urban area project (129ha).

Technical infrastructure works, social infrastructure and new urban and residential areas are gradually changing the face of the town. In the near future, when implementing the policy of arranging commune-level administrative units in Bim Son, two new wards will be established with the names Bim Son and Quang Trung. The arrangement and reorganization of administrative units requires many changes, including the task of reviewing urban planning and assessing urban quality. Focus on reviewing, supplementing and establishing new urban plans as a basis for attracting investment, focusing on completing zoning plans according to the general plan and detailed plan in rapidly developing areas, along major traffic routes and industrial clusters. Strengthen the management of planning and urban order, prioritize investment in cultural and social infrastructure and sustainable urban embellishment. Focus on attracting resources to develop synchronous and modern urban infrastructure, serving production, business, and socio -economic development; At the same time, mobilize resources to renovate existing residential areas, improve people's quality of life, and build a clean, civilized urban appearance.
