Initially, Mark was only supposed to train with the veteran team. From then on, Mark continued to play and of course scored again. Coach Schunke admitted: "Mark is really dangerous in the penalty area. Three goals in two games and an assist, he showed his class immediately."

Off the pitch, the Bellingham family has also undergone many changes. According to British media, Mark and his ex-wife Denise have gone their separate ways after more than 20 years of marriage. They have mostly lived apart in the last 5 years due to being busy managing their two sons' careers.
