Currently, floodwaters from upstream are pouring in rapidly, many low-lying areas along the Vu Gia - Thu Bon River, Cu De River, Co Co River... have been partially flooded, threatening the safety of hundreds of households. In some areas of weak dykes and embankments, soil and rocks have been eroded, many sections are at risk of landslides and breaks, directly affecting residential areas, production facilities and key traffic routes.

Faced with that situation, the Da Nang City Military Command has proactively deployed response plans according to the "4 on-site" motto; directed units to strictly maintain the regime of command, disaster prevention, search and rescue 24/24 hours; reviewed and fully prepared forces, means, and materials, ready to mobilize to respond when situations arise. Units were reinforced with rescue boats, canoes, pushers, tents, life jackets, mooring lines, tools to reinforce dykes and embankments, anti-erosion stakes, and at the same time mobilized motor vehicles, special vehicles, trucks, ambulances and field communication equipment to the central command post and key areas, ensuring readiness to mobilize to respond immediately upon order.

Colonel Tran Huu Ich requested the entire force not to be passive or surprised in any situation, to proactively prepare response plans for heavy rains, storms and floods, and focus on protecting people's lives and property. He also emphasized that, in parallel with responding to storms, units must prepare forces, vehicles, materials and logistics - technology, maintain good communication, and closely coordinate with police, border guards, and militia forces to proactively overcome the consequences immediately after storms and floods.

Currently, in the city, there are nearly 10,000 officers and soldiers participating in helping people overcome the consequences of floods, reinforce dykes and embankments, and evacuate people to safe places. In particular, the Da Nang City Military Command maintains nearly 800 regular troops and more than 2,500 militia and reserve forces at key locations, ready to mobilize for rescue when ordered. The City Military Command continues to closely monitor the developments of storms, floods, and landslides, closely coordinate with agencies and units in the area to proactively respond, determined not to let human casualties occur when storm No. 13 directly affects Da Nang City and neighboring areas.
