To ensure the supply of goods, especially essential goods for people in all areas, contributing to market stabilization and ensuring social security, the Ministry of Industry and Trade requests the Departments of Industry and Trade of provinces and centrally-run cities to closely monitor the developments of the commodity market; for areas affected by rain, storms and floods, direct and coordinate with production and trading units to immediately deploy measures to use reserve goods to prevent natural disasters and mobilize socialized resources to support and ensure adequate supply of essential goods and goods for recovery work after rain and storms for areas affected by storms and floods.

"Instruct commercial businesses, management units, and market operators in the area to have plans to supply mobile goods in areas affected by rain and floods; strengthen connections and search for sources of goods from other localities so that supply activities are not interrupted," the Ministry of Industry and Trade noted.
In addition, the Departments of Industry and Trade need to assess the ability to supply essential goods to areas isolated by storms and floods; propose the need to coordinate essential goods through distribution channels to promptly supply people and stabilize the local market.
Tighten management and stabilize prices of essential goods at the end of the year
In the last months of the year, the Minister requested the Departments of Industry and Trade to have plans to prepare goods sources and plans to implement market stabilization work to ensure the supply of goods, especially essential goods during holidays, Tet, and peak consumption periods, contributing to ensuring social security and controlling inflation.
Proactively provide information on the supply situation and prices of essential goods to local media agencies to provide full information to people, avoid panic and market instability.
For businesses producing and trading essential goods, the Ministry of Industry and Trade requires production units to increase their capacity to ensure adequate supply for localities, while prioritizing the supply of high-demand items such as food, foodstuffs and essential products such as construction materials, consumer goods... especially for areas heavily damaged by storms and floods. Businesses need to develop specific production and supply plans to meet increased demand at the end of the year and the Lunar New Year 2026.
For the distribution business sector, the task is to review and coordinate supply sources, focus resources on transporting and supplying essential goods throughout the system, prioritizing areas affected by natural disasters.
"Distribution enterprises must actively coordinate with functional units and local Departments of Industry and Trade to promptly provide necessities to people, especially in areas isolated by storms and floods, and strictly implement instructions in implementing programs to reserve goods and stabilize the market at the end of the year as well as during the Lunar New Year," the Ministry of Industry and Trade emphasized.
In addition, the Ministry of Industry and Trade also requires key traders in the production and trading of petroleum to proactively source goods, provide enough for the system, and absolutely not allow supply interruptions in the entire distribution chain from key traders, distributors to agents and retail stores.
These units need to maintain regular sales activities, sell at the listed prices and strictly implement regulations on petroleum reserves, ensuring adequate supply for the domestic market in all situations. Key petroleum traders must also proactively source supplies, reserve appropriately and supply promptly to business partners according to signed contracts, in order to fully and stably meet market demand.
