Naval Region 3 Command: Visiting and wishing a Happy New Year to the soldiers and people of Con Co and Ly Son island districts

Ngày 22/1, tại TP. Đà Nẵng, Bộ Tư lệnh Vùng 3 Hải quân tổ chức gặp mặt đoàn công tác các địa phương, đơn vị, cơ quan báo chí đi thăm, chúc Tết quân dân huyện đảo Cồn Cỏ (Quảng Trị) và Lý Sơn (Quảng Ngãi) từ ngày 21-25/1. Tham dự có đại diện lãnh đạo Bộ Tư lệnh Vùng 3 Hải quân, các địa phương, cơ quan, đơn vị, doanh nghiệp và 52 phóng viên của 30 cơ quan báo đài Trung ương, Quân đội và địa phương. Báo Ninh Thuận cử phóng viên tham gia đoàn công tác.

Naval Region 3 is tasked with managing and protecting the seas and islands of 7 central provinces, from Deo Ngang ( Quang Binh ) to Cu Lao Xanh (Binh Dinh) and is ready to support other seas when ordered. Over the years, Naval Region 3 has grown steadily, always completing its assigned tasks excellently.

Political Commissar of the Naval Region 3 Command, Rear Admiral Nguyen Dang Tien said: Along with the attention of the Party and the State, Naval Region 3 always receives the attention, support and facilitation of local authorities, units and enterprises nationwide. With the motto "mainland towards distant islands", "for the homeland's sea and islands", the visit and New Year greetings on the island districts of Con Co and Ly Son will contribute to encouraging officers, soldiers and people on the islands to work, live and celebrate the traditional New Year with peace of mind, joy, warmth and happiness.

Naval Region 3 Command receives goods and Tet gifts transported to the island.

On this occasion, the Naval Region 3 Command will transfer more than 250 gifts, with a total value of more than 750 million VND to officers, soldiers, and forces on duty on the islands. At the same time, receive, transport, and coordinate the giving of gifts from localities, agencies, organizations, businesses, and individuals, including cash and goods with a total value of more than 1.86 billion VND to officers, soldiers of Naval Region 3 and the army and people on Con Co island district, Ly Son.

On this occasion, the delegation offered incense to President Ho Chi Minh , visited the Traditional House of Region 3; gave gifts to families of policy beneficiaries, disadvantaged people and units; and visited the ship of Brigade 172, Naval Region 3.

On the same afternoon, Ship KN-390 carried the working group away from the port to carry out a mobile patrol mission in the sea area from Da Nang - Con Co, Ly Son.
