On the afternoon of December 25, the Military Technical Academy held a graduation ceremony for the 55th military engineering course and the 38th university transfer course. Among the 390 new military engineers receiving their diplomas on this occasion, Senior Sergeant Ngo Thi Minh Thu (from Binh Dinh) - a student majoring in Data Analysis, was honored to graduate as valedictorian of the Academy.
Multi-talented "beauty"
Coming from a farming family, with hard farm work, Thu wishes to take the entrance exam to the Military Technical Academy to help her family and ease her parents' hardships. With the dream of becoming a soldier, Thu wants to contribute a small part to the cause of building and protecting the Fatherland.
In the final exam results of the whole course, Thu achieved 8.52. During her school years, the female student received Le Quy Don scholarship, type A and type B scholarships; 2 years she was awarded the title of Emulation Fighter at the grassroots level; 1 year she was awarded the title of Advanced Fighter.
Thu also actively participates in scientific research with topics related to information technology, winning first prize at the Hackathon JunctionX Hanoi 2023. In addition, the female student also achieved the title of "Outstanding Youth Union Officer" for 3 consecutive years and many certificates of merit for emulation activities, cultural and artistic movements, and voluntary blood donation.

"I always keep in mind that I have to be serious and try my best. In class, I pay attention to the lectures and take careful notes of the main ideas that the teachers emphasize. I often ask for lecture slides to study in advance, and at the same time search for related information and documents on the Internet to understand the knowledge more deeply and broadly," Thu shared.
With assigned homework, female students always start by carefully studying the requirements of the assignment and outlining the direction of work, arranging a reasonable time to complete it completely.
Studying and exercising to ensure the performance of tasks are also very important. Therefore, female students should not stay up too late to study but maintain a scientific schedule, regularly exercise to ensure health and a clear mind to absorb lessons most effectively the next day.
When she started studying and training in the military environment, Thu encountered many difficulties in adapting and keeping up with the high intensity training. "However, thanks to the highly disciplined, serious and comprehensive training environment, I not only acquired in-depth knowledge in the technical field but also trained my mettle, will and responsibility," Thu shared.

According to Lieutenant General, Professor, Doctor, and Associate Professor Le Minh Thai, facing many opportunities and challenges, an engineer must not only have a solid grasp of expertise, strong political will, and good commanding style, but also need to have creative thinking, the ability to self-study, self-train, self-research, and the ability to adapt to difficulties, challenges, and constantly changing requirements of the task.
The Director of the Academy wishes and hopes that students will continue to promote the spirit of striving, self-study, self-research, self-training; arouse the determination, the strong desire to rise up and be constantly creative to master scientific and technological knowledge.

The 55th Military Engineering Course has 80% of students graduating with Good and Excellent grades. Of these, 164 students were awarded the title of Emulation Fighter, 490 students were awarded the title of Advanced Fighter, 15 students received Le Quy Don scholarships, 96 students received type A scholarships; 37 students received type B scholarships; 87 students were awarded the titles of Excellent Students, Good Students, and Good Students.
