Bosch Group has chosen Vietnam as its second largest software development base in the world (after India). The Bosch Global Software Technology Center (BGST) located in Ho Chi Minh City currently has about 3,000 software engineers working.
This is the information given by Mr. Andre de Jong, General Director of Bosch Vietnam, at the press conference introducing the Bosch Tech Tour 2025 technology exhibition held this morning, October 24.
Mr. Andre de Jong said that the Group has invested more than 500 million euros in factories, production lines and software centers in Vietnam. In addition to home appliance product lines, Bosch is currently focusing on investing in artificial intelligence (AI) technology, microchip design and cooperating with universities and research institutes to develop the semiconductor industry.
“Vietnam is promoting the semiconductor and artificial intelligence industries. This is an opportunity for Bosch to invest, cooperate and train human resources in this field,” Mr. Andre de Jong shared.
Bosch first entered Vietnam in 1994, starting with power tools and auto parts and is now the largest German investor in Vietnam. Currently, Bosch has chosen Vietnam as its second largest software development base in the world (after India).
“We have about 3,000 software engineers working for the Bosch Global Software Technology Center (BGST) in Ho Chi Minh City. Vietnam has a young and highly qualified workforce in this field. This is also the reason why Bosch invests heavily in R&D in Vietnam,” Mr. Andre de Jong emphasized./.
