The extra time was too long, my players lost concentration.

Singapore Pain

The 0-2 defeat to the Vietnamese team made the door to the final of Singapore increasingly narrow. Although the score was 0-0 after 90 minutes, coach Tsutomu Ogura's students collapsed in the second half's extra time with 2 goals from Tien Linh and Xuan Son.

The chance to continue is still there, but with a 2-goal loss at home, it will be difficult for Singapore to turn the tables in the second leg on December 29 at Viet Tri Stadium.

Coach Ogura affirmed: "The second half of this match had too much extra time (15 minutes). Because of such a long time, my players lacked concentration. We were also exhausted and did not have enough experience to prevent, typically the second goal."

The Singapore team played well for 90 minutes, with many opportunities created in the second half. However, Mr. Ogura's students failed to take advantage of them, and then paid the price for their wastefulness.

"Both teams had chances, but the difference is that the Vietnamese team took advantage of them, while we didn't," coach Ogura commented. "There were too many things that happened in this match."

The Vietnamese team will play Singapore again at 8pm on December 29 at Viet Tri Stadium. According to coach Ogura, it is important for the Singapore team to recover their physical strength, re-analyze the match and correct their mistakes to have any hope of turning the tables in the rematch.
