Buon Thai was established on March 15, 1995, mainly by Thai ethnic people migrating from the western part of Nghe An province to build a new economy , with difficult living conditions.
After 30 years of formation and development, from 73 initial households to now, Thai village has 211 households, with more than 920 people, of which Thai people account for more than 95%.
Currently, Thai village has made great strides in all aspects. In particular, the period 2015 - 2025 marks a turning point in innovation and integration of Thai village. Infrastructure has received investment from the State: concrete roads, national grid electricity, spacious community houses. In particular, people in the village have actively responded to the movement "All people unite to build new rural areas". People have donated land, contributed labor, joined hands to concrete and harden more than 7.2km of intra-village roads. In terms of economy, thanks to the conversion of crops and livestock and the expansion of coffee, pepper and livestock farming models, the average income per capita in the village is currently about 48 million VND/year. The rate of poor households has decreased over the years, currently in the village there are only 10 poor households, accounting for 4.73%. Many typical family economic models have appeared, bringing stable income, in the village there are many well-off and rich households.
This is the result of the united efforts of the people and the attention and leadership of the Party Committee and government, and is the driving force for the Thai people to strive to build their homeland to become more and more developed, rich, beautiful and civilized.
