It is estimated that in 2025, Ca Mau will welcome about 8 million visitors, an increase of 10.3% over the same period last year; total revenue will reach more than VND 8,585 billion, an increase of 16.8%. This is the result of continuous efforts in infrastructure investment, diversification of tourism products and improvement of service quality, contributing to the growth rate of Region III (services - tourism) reaching 9.25% or more.

Mr. Nguyen Quoc Thanh, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ca Mau province, said that the province is completing the Project on Tourism Development of Ca Mau province to 2030, with a vision to 2050. Along with that is the Master Plan for preserving and promoting the value of special national relics and the Project on protecting and promoting the value of national treasures - creating a solid foundation for the development of cultural, historical and spiritual tourism.
At the same time, the industry continues to implement the Outdoor Advertising Project, develop tourism human resources, and invest in infrastructure of key tourist areas and destinations. This is an important step for Ca Mau to not only develop tourism in breadth but also focus on depth, towards sustainability, professionalism and modernity.
According to Mr. Thanh, the province is focusing on developing typical destinations such as: Ca Mau Cape - the southernmost point on the map of Vietnam, U Minh Ha National Park - a unique flooded melaleuca forest area, Hon Da Bac, Tac Say Church, Me Nam Hai, Bac Lieu Prince's House, Bac Lieu Mat House Tourist Area... These places not only have cultural and historical value but are also "highlights" that attract millions of visitors each year.
“In addition to infrastructure investment, we will organize a series of events Ca Mau - Destination 2025, notably the 2nd Ca Mau Crab Festival - 2025 and the program 'Hello Ca Mau' to widely promote the image of the land at the end of the Fatherland to friends at home and abroad" , Mr. Nguyen Quoc Thanh shared more.
Businesses accompany localities to develop tourism
In the tourism development strategy of Ca Mau, the business sector plays a very important role. Not only contributing to promoting service and tourism activities, businesses also create jobs for people, contributing to sustainable growth.
Mr. Mai Hoang Viet, Director of Cong Tu Bac Lieu Tourism Service Joint Stock Company, said that in the last 6 months of 2025, the unit aims to grow at least 10% compared to the first half of the year, while ensuring stable jobs for more than 130 local workers.
“We focus on developing unique tourism products, deeply exploiting the cultural values of 'Prince Bac Lieu' and the identity of the West, thereby building new experience models to attract tourists,” Mr. Viet emphasized.

Specifically, this enterprise is expanding the chain of cultural - culinary - artistic experiences in the West, combining with domestic and international tourism promotion. The unit aims to attract an additional 40,000 visitors to visit the Bac Lieu Prince's House in the last 6 months of the year, contributing positively to the total number of visitors in the province.
The dynamism of businesses, combined with the strategic orientation of the locality, is helping Ca Mau tourism become a spearhead economic sector, associated with the identity, culture and people of the Southern region.
Ca Mau is investing heavily in tourism infrastructure. Key projects such as the Ca Mau Cape National Tourist Area, coastal roads, eco-resorts, tourist wharfs, and high-quality accommodation systems are being urgently implemented.
Along with that, the province focuses on developing high-quality human resources - the core factor determining the sustainability of the industry. The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism is coordinating with vocational training institutions and tourism businesses to organize training courses on professional skills, service skills, tour guides, foreign languages, digital skills in tourism promotion, etc.
Thanks to that, the workforce in the industry is increasingly professional and friendly, contributing to building the image of "Ca Mau Tourism - safe, friendly, attractive" in the hearts of tourists.
Accelerate and break through towards the 2030 - 2050 target
According to the development orientation, Ca Mau aims to become a center of eco-tourism, resorts and experiences in the Mekong Delta by 2030, with unique tourism products associated with the sea, forests and indigenous culture; by 2050, it aims to become an international destination for eco-tourism, natural experiences and Southern culture.
To achieve this goal, the locality has identified regional connectivity as a key strategy - especially cooperation with Kien Giang, Can Tho... to form coastal tourism routes and inter-provincial eco-tourism experiences. Connecting Ca Mau in the journey "One trip - many experiences" will help tourists have more choices, while enhancing the province's tourism position in the regional value chain.
Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Ho Hai emphasized that in order to accelerate, make a breakthrough, and ensure the economic growth target is achieved by the end of the year as planned, the province will create a solid foundation to achieve double-digit growth in the 2026-2030 period. All levels, sectors and the entire people need to unite.
"Ca Mau will inherit and promote the achieved results, overcome all difficulties, strive to successfully achieve the goals, soon turn Ca Mau into a fairly developed locality in the region, worthy of being the southernmost province of the Fatherland," said Mr. Hai.

Mr. Nguyen Ho Hai, Secretary of Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee.
That spirit of solidarity is spreading strongly in every emulation movement, every project, every action of businesses and people. Because more than anyone, every Ca Mau resident understands that the development of tourism not only brings economic benefits but also contributes to preserving culture, improving life, and spreading love for the homeland.
With the determination of the entire political system, the consensus of businesses and people, Ca Mau is gradually affirming its position on the Vietnamese tourism map. From an “end of the map”, Ca Mau is becoming a “bright spot of southern tourism”, a convergence of rich nature, gentle people and rich cultural identity.
In the near future, the journey to the southernmost point of the Fatherland will not only be a trip of discovery, but also a journey to fully experience the cultural values, people and aspirations of the land at the end of the Fatherland.
