Mr. Doan Van Coi (middle) and Mr. Dang Van Nhanh (right cover) survey the carpentry model in Cay Sao hamlet, Nhon Hoa Lap commune.
Nhon Hoa Lap Commune, Tay Ninh Province was established on the basis of merging Nhon Hoa, Tan Lap and Nhon Hoa Lap (old) communes. Through review, the old communes have nearly 30 part-time cadres. The Standing Committee of the Party Committee of Nhon Hoa Lap (new) commune arranged about 20 part-time cadres to support work settlement with the unit's civil servants and public employees. Thanks to that, in the first days of operating the 2-level local government, the new apparatus of the commune operated stably, without overlapping work, without leaving vacant areas and bringing satisfaction to the people.
Secretary of the Nhon Hoa Lap Commune Party Committee Le Van Nhan said: “The Commune Party Committee is concerned about arranging part-time cadres after the commune merger because in reality, many people are very talented, enthusiastic about their work, and are the “extended arms” between the Party, the State and the People. Therefore, after the merger, the commune assigns and arranges part-time cadres suitable for their expertise and profession and encourages them to try to overcome psychological barriers and excellently complete their assigned tasks.”
In 2009, Mr. Doan Van Coi was elected as Head of Kenh Cha Hamlet, Nhon Hoa Commune (old). In 2014, he continued to be elected as Secretary and Head of Kenh Cha Hamlet. Implementing the policy of merging Kenh Cha and Phung Thoi Hamlets, he was appointed by the Commune Party Committee as Secretary and Head of Kenh Cha Hamlet. During his work, he always strived and continuously learned, so the Party Committee and People's Committee of Nhon Hoa Commune assigned him to be Vice Chairman of the Commune Veterans Association and Secretary of the Kenh Cha Hamlet Party Cell.
After many years of working, Mr. Coi knows each family well and understands the thoughts and aspirations of the people, thereby advising the Commune People's Committee to issue many specific and practical plans and programs. "After the commune merger, many part-time cadres were worried, not knowing whether they could continue working or not and what their income would be? Ignoring the psychological barrier, I improved my expertise and skills to do well the assigned tasks. For me, working, contributing and serving the People is meaningful" - Mr. Coi said.
Having been attached to the task of Party Cell Secretary and Head of Cay Sao Hamlet, Tan Lap Commune (now Party Cell Secretary and Head of Cay Sao Hamlet, Nhon Hoa Lap Commune) for more than 10 years, Mr. Dang Van Nhanh has always been dedicated to serving the people. Mr. Nhanh shared: "The allowance for the hamlet chief is not high, so it is mainly done with heart, because of the responsibility to the people and the locality".
Without calculating or comparing gains and losses, many part-time cadres like Mr. Coi and Mr. Nhanh still silently contribute every day in the journey of building their homeland. Hopefully, in the coming time, the Party and the State will have many new policies, creating conditions for qualified and professional part-time cadres to continue to contribute and serve the people./.
