At a noodle shop opposite Tan An Industrial Park (Buon Ma Thuot ward), on the dining tables are placed paper boxes printed with the words “Hi88- Bet for fun, earn billions”. The paper boxes are placed in a position that easily attracts the attention of diners.

The owner of the restaurant said that the tissue boxes were given to him by a strange woman a few months ago. At first, the owner did not pay attention, but when he was cleaning the table, he was curious and found out that the tissue boxes were advertising gambling websites.

In many other localities such as Quang Phu commune, Ea Kao ward, Hoa Phu commune, items with logos and slogans of betting sites also appeared in many coffee shops, restaurants, and traditional markets.

According to the investigation, the above items were given to the shops by a group of strangers, saying that it was to promote the brand. Most of the shop owners knew that the items were to promote gambling websites. However, they still kept them because they were given for free.

Bad guys take advantage of people's desire for free things to spread gambling logos. This trick creates a sense of closeness, easily luring people, especially young people, into the vortex of gambling.

From the above reality, competent authorities need to strengthen inspection and strictly handle illegal gambling advertising acts. At the same time, step up propaganda and raise public awareness so that each citizen understands that keeping an advertising item for gambling websites is indirectly aiding criminals.
