Binh Khanh Bridge promotes inter-regional traffic and prepares to connect to Long Thanh airport

Binh Khanh Bridge is designed in a modern style with a total length of more than 2.76 km, becoming an important highlight on the Ben Luc - Long Thanh expressway, opening the way connecting the Mekong Delta with Long Thanh airport.

Binh Khanh Bridge crosses the Soai Rap River, connecting Hiep Phuoc Commune (former Nha Be District) with Binh Khanh Commune (former Can Gio District), with a total investment of more than VND2,800 billion, and is completing the final stages to prepare for operation.

The contractor is mobilizing all human resources to complete on schedule.

The project belongs to package J1, Ben Luc - Long Thanh expressway. Currently, the project has completed 98% of the volume.

The bridge has a modern design, with a cable-stayed tower 155m high.

Binh Khanh Bridge has a clearance of 55 m, which is the highest clearance level in Vietnam today. It is designed to allow large tonnage ships (about 30,000 DWT) to enter and exit Soai Rap River, serving Hiep Phuoc Port and Ho Chi Minh City's seaport system.

Ben Luc - Long Thanh Expressway is 57.8 km long, passing through Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai . In early 2025, Vietnam Expressway Corporation (VEC) organized the opening of traffic, putting into operation nearly 30 km on two sections: from the Ho Chi Minh City - Trung Luong Expressway intersection to Nguyen Van Tao intersection and from Phuoc An intersection to National Highway 51 intersection.

The traffic system is ready to connect, this traffic route will become an important inter-regional traffic axis connecting the West with the Southeast.

In 2026, the Ben Luc - Long Thanh expressway will be closed, which will also be the time when vehicles and goods from the Mekong Delta will conveniently go directly to Long Thanh airport.
