Shaping the next generation of global management for Vietnam's tourism and hospitality industry

The cooperation between CFVG and FERRANDI Paris was born in the context of Vietnam's tourism industry making a strong breakthrough, with more than 15.6 million international visitors in 2024 and an impressive recovery rate after the pandemic. However, to maintain its competitiveness, Vietnam needs a well-trained senior management team with a global mindset and a deep understanding of local culture - the core elements that the MHM program aims for. Sharing about the significance of this cooperation, Prof. Dr. Rodolphe Bardot - Director of Academic Affairs and Master Program Development of FERRANDI Paris, said:

The launch of the Master of Tourism Management - MHM program in Vietnam marks an important milestone for the industry. The collaboration between FERRANDI Paris and CFVG not only brings international academic standards but also contributes to shaping the future of the tourism and hospitality industry in the region. Vietnam is emerging as a dynamic destination in Asia, requiring a management team with a global mindset and an understanding of local practices. Through the MHM program, we aim to train a generation of young managers capable of leading innovation and sustainable development for the industry in the future.

“Vietnam’s tourism industry is growing impressively, creating an urgent need for a competent and integrated management team. The MHM program is a timely step, contributing to connecting international knowledge with domestic training practices, aiming at the goal of developing high-quality human resources for the tourism and hospitality industry in Vietnam.” - according to Associate Professor, Dr. Ho Viet Tien - Co-Director of CFVG Ho Chi Minh City

In addition to its academic value, the MHM program also offers scholarship opportunities for Tourism graduates from UEH and staff from CFVG's partner organizations and businesses. Graduates of the program will receive a Master of Science degree from FERRANDI University Paris, recognized by the French Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation, as well as the Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training - a prestigious guarantee affirming their competence in the global labor market.

France - Vietnam Cooperation: Sustainable Foundation for Training High-Quality Human Resources

CFVG was established in 1992 under a Cooperation Agreement between the Government of Vietnam and the Government of France. This is a cooperation project between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Paris Ile-de-France (CCI Paris Ile-de-France) - the governing body of many prestigious universities in France - and two host universities in Vietnam (UEH and NEU). After more than 30 years of operation, CFVG has affirmed its pioneering role in management training and specialized training (finance, marketing and supply chain management), becoming an academic bridge between the two educational systems of France and Vietnam.

The partnership with FERRANDI Paris, a member of the Conférence des Grandes Écoles (CGE), marks a strategic step forward for CFVG in expanding its postgraduate training programs according to European standards, especially in the field of tourism and luxury services, which are important growth drivers of the Vietnamese economy. CFVG representatives emphasized that the MHM program is not only academic in nature but also demonstrates the commitment to long-term cooperation between the two countries in the field of education. This is also a concrete step to realize UEH's international vision, contributing to building Ho Chi Minh City into a center for training high-quality human resources in the tourism and hospitality sector of Southeast Asia.

The Master of Tourism Management (MHM) program is now officially enrolling its first class and is expected to open in January 2026 at CFVG Ho Chi Minh City.
