In Thanh Loc commune, the health screening work was organized carefully and according to the process. Doctor Dao Thanh Dan - Head of the health screening team for military service in the commune said that after the merger, the number of young people of military age increased many times, so the commune proactively provided human resources and specialists to serve the screening work. "Citizens participating in the screening are fully examined for the following indicators: weight, height, blood pressure, teeth - jaw - face, ear - nose - throat, eyes, internal medicine - surgery, dermatology and psychiatry. The results are classified according to specific levels, serving as the basis for selecting young people who are eligible for official examination," said Doctor Dao Thanh Dan.

Commander of Thanh Loc Commune Military Command Ho Anh Canh said: "The commune arranged locations and reasonable traffic flows to avoid congestion; the militia force supported the distribution of ballots, guided citizens, and ensured the process was serious and in accordance with regulations". Mr. Phan Di Tuong, who participated in the preliminary selection, expressed: "The implementation steps were clear and convenient for young people. I felt the sense of responsibility and seriousness of the officers, medical staff, and doctors at the examination session".

After the preliminary selection, the communes entered the voting stage for citizens eligible for military service health examination. In November 2025, Thanh Loc commune organized a public vote in 24 hamlets, with the participation of the Commune Military Service Council, representatives of the Party Committee, hamlet leaders, youth and families, ensuring transparency and democracy.

In Thanh Dong commune, Commander of the Commune Military Command Nguyen Quyen said: "The commune organizes voting in clusters of 2-3 hamlets, clearly explaining the standards, conditions, and voting procedures for people to supervise."

The voting process was strictly implemented. The chair explained the purpose and requirements; disseminated the provisions of the Law on Military Service and policies for citizens joining the army; announced the expected selection quota, the results of the preliminary health screening; and conducted voting for each case. Representatives of the Party Committee, the government, the hamlet leadership, the police, organizations and the people expressed their opinions on the background, ethics, education, health and family circumstances of each citizen. The voting results were publicly voted before all delegates and people attending the meeting.

“Based on the voting results in the hamlets, the Commune Military Service Council will meet to appraise and compile a list of qualified medical examiners, report to the Commune People's Committee; and at the same time publicly announce it at the commune headquarters, hamlets, and community activities. The Commune Military Command will advise the Commune People's Committee Chairman to issue a decision to call citizens for medical examinations for military service in accordance with regulations,” said Mr. Nguyen Quyen.

With the motto "Whoever you recruit, that person will be sure of", localities in the province are seriously, strictly and legally selecting and calling citizens to join the army in 2026, contributing to ensuring the sufficient quantity and quality of soldiers, meeting the requirements of building the People's Army and Public Security in the new situation.
