Market fire at midnight, 86 kiosks burned down

The fire broke out at midnight and burned down 86 out of 419 kiosks at Binh Duong market. Fortunately, there were no casualties.

On the morning of November 5, the Binh Duong Market Management Board, the Commune Police and the People's Committee of Binh Duong Commune, Gia Lai Province are urgently verifying the cause and damage of the market fire at midnight that burned down many kiosks and goods.

Previously, at 10:55 p.m. on November 4, Binh Duong Commune Police received a report from residents about a fire at a shoe kiosk west of Binh Duong market in Duong Lieu Tay village, Binh Duong commune.

The market fire damaged 86 kiosks of Binh Duong market.

Immediately upon receiving the news, Binh Duong Commune Police mobilized all Commune Police forces, forces participating in protecting security and order at the base and fire fighting equipment to urgently go to the scene with people to carry out fire fighting work.

At about 11:10 p.m. the same day, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department ( Gia Lai Provincial Police) mobilized 11 fire trucks and 70 officers and soldiers to the scene to participate in extinguishing the fire. With the efforts of the forces, by 2 a.m. on November 5, the fire was completely extinguished.

Initial verification results, authorities determined that the fire did not cause any human casualties, property damage is continuing to be counted.

According to the initial report of Binh Duong Market Management Board, the fire damaged 86 kiosks out of 419 kiosks of the market; the burned area was about ^800m2 out of a total area of ^{​​14,200m2} .

The cause of the fire is being investigated by authorities.
