To proactively prevent possible drowning accidents, during this time, the police force of communes, wards and towns in Tay Ninh province actively coordinated with professional units, departments, branches and organizations to deploy many synchronous and proactive solutions to protect the lives and safety of people, especially children and students.

Police of Bien Gioi commune, Chau Thanh district, propagate about drowning prevention for children.

Accordingly, the Commune Police force also proactively coordinated with the Youth Union and forces participating in protecting security and order at the grassroots level to organize mobile communication sessions in residential areas, residential groups, and hamlets. The propaganda content focused on raising people's awareness of the risk of drowning accidents, while providing guidance on measures to prevent, care for, and supervise children during the summer.

Firefighting and rescue forces instruct and promote water skills for children.

To proactively prevent drowning, Tay Ninh Police recommends that parents must closely supervise their children and teach them about the dangers of drowning, not allowing children to play or fool around ponds, lakes, or deep holes to avoid falling into them; and not going swimming or bathing in rivers or lakes without an adult who knows how to swim accompanying them.

Strictly follow safety principles when entering the water such as warming up before swimming to avoid muscle cramps; do not use alcohol or beer; use life jackets or swimming buoys when entering the water or traveling on water vehicles, even for those who know how to swim; only swim near the shore and in permitted areas. For beaches, pay attention to offshore currents by observing the color of the sea water, the level of the waves, etc.

You need to equip yourself with basic first aid skills such as artificial respiration, chest compressions, removing foreign objects from the victim's mouth and nose... to give first aid to drowning people.
