Up to now, localities in the province have planted about 60,000 hectares of winter-spring rice, of which the districts of Hung Ha, Dong Hung, and Vu Thu have basically completed planting.
Areas that have been and are being planted need to maintain spare seedlings in the foot of the fields and high fields.
According to the forecast of the Thai Binh Hydrometeorological Station, due to the influence of the northern edge circulation of the tropical depression combined with high-altitude wind convergence, from the night of July 14 to 17, the province will have moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms. Rainfall in places is commonly from 80 - 150mm.
Up to now, localities in the province have planted about 60,000 hectares of winter-spring rice.
To proactively prevent and combat flooding, reduce damage to winter-spring rice, in areas that have been and are being planted, it is necessary to maintain spare seedlings in low-lying and high-lying fields. Localities with areas at high risk of flooding need to prepare all resources to prevent flooding for rice, proactively clear the flow, and drain water as quickly as possible when heavy rain occurs. When flooded, it is necessary to mobilize all resources, use high-capacity pumps to drain water as quickly as possible in low-lying fields, especially paying attention to late-planting areas. Absolutely do not let rice plants be flooded for a long time, if exposed to hot weather, it will greatly affect growth, development, and even cause rot and death. While draining water, if the field has moss, it is necessary to sprinkle water so that moss does not stick to the surface of the leaves, creating favorable conditions for better photosynthesis of the rice plants.
