The Boeing 737 MAX aircraft handover ceremony took place on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the normalization of Vietnam-US relations. The event is not only an important milestone in the cooperation between Vietjet and Boeing but also a vivid demonstration of the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries, contributing to promoting trade, investment and creating hundreds of thousands of jobs in the US.

The new aircraft and hundreds of aircraft to be delivered in the coming time will be operated by Vietjet in the vibrant regional market, enhancing the experience for millions of passengers. At the same time, Boeing aircraft will realize the aspiration to expand the global flight network and develop regional and international sustainability of the new-generation airline.

Speaking at the event, Vietjet Chairwoman Dr. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao emphasized: “The first Boeing aircraft in the historic order received by Vietjet is the result of nearly a decade of cooperation between Boeing and Vietjet, opening a new phase of continued delivery of hundreds of aircraft in the coming time. This event contributes to promoting bilateral trade, is a symbol of the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and the United States and the aspiration to conquer the sky, and at the same time brings practical benefits to the people of the two countries.”
