President Luong Cuong receives Chief of Office of Mongolian President

On the morning of January 13, at the Presidential Palace, President Luong Cuong received Chief of Office of Mongolian President Gombojav Zandanshatar, who is on a working visit to Vietnam.

Welcoming the Chief of the Presidential Office and the Mongolian delegation to visit and work in Vietnam, the President said that the delegation being the first guests of the Vietnamese Presidential Office in 2025 promises good, close and effective cooperation between the two Offices, contributing to strengthening the Vietnam - Mongolia Comprehensive Partnership.

The President congratulated and highly appreciated the important achievements that the Mongolian people have made in the cause of national construction and development. The people's lives have been increasingly improved, and the international position and prestige have been increasingly enhanced, continuing to create momentum for the successful implementation of the "New Recovery Policy" and "Vision 2050" of Mongolia. Through the Chief of Staff, the President sent his sincere regards and best wishes to Mongolian President Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh.

President Luong Cuong affirmed that the Party and State of Vietnam consistently attach importance to and wish to continue strengthening the traditional friendship with Mongolia in all fields, in accordance with the capabilities and needs of both sides, meeting the interests and aspirations of the people of each country, contributing to maintaining peace , stability, cooperation and development in the region and the world.

The President stressed that Vietnam will never forget Mongolia's support for the past struggle for national independence, as well as in the current national construction and development. Vietnam also highly appreciates Mongolia's continued emphasis on developing bilateral relations, considering Vietnam as its "third neighbor" and top important partner in Southeast Asia.

The President welcomed the signing of the Cooperation Agreement between the Office of the President of Vietnam and the Office of the President of Mongolia, thereby practically contributing to strengthening close cooperation between the two Offices, as well as the Vietnam-Mongolia Comprehensive Partnership in the coming time.

Thanking the President for taking the time to receive him, Chief of Staff Gombojav Zandanshatar expressed his pleasure to visit and work in Vietnam at the beginning of the new year 2025, thereby contributing to strengthening the traditional solidarity and friendship between the two countries. He conveyed the regards and congratulations of Mongolian President Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh to President Luong Cuong, and also sent an invitation to the President to pay a State visit to Mongolia at an appropriate time. The President happily accepted the invitation and will arrange it through diplomatic channels.

The Chief of Staff of the Mongolian President also congratulated Vietnam on its achievements in nearly 40 years of Doi Moi and wished Vietnam to soon achieve the goal of becoming a high-income developed country.

The Chief of the Mongolian President's Office said that the two countries' achievements in recent years in bilateral relations, including the upgrading of relations to Comprehensive Partnership during the recent visit of General Secretary and President To Lam, will contribute to strengthening bilateral cooperation.

With a long history of bilateral relations over the past 70 years, Mr. Gombojav Zandanshatar expressed his hope that in the coming time, the two sides will continue to maintain exchanges of delegations at all levels, especially high-level delegations, thereby enhancing political trust, while further promoting cooperation in all fields, including economics, trade, investment, security, defense, etc. in accordance with the interests of the people of the two countries.

Sharing with Chief of Staff Gombojav Zandanshatar, the President affirmed Vietnam's consistent stance of wanting to deepen the traditional friendship and make remarkable, substantive and comprehensive developments between the two countries, especially in 2024 when the two sides have established a comprehensive partnership.

The President said that the two sides need to promptly implement the contents of the agreements signed during the visit of the two countries' senior leaders as well as the contents of the intergovernmental meeting, especially in the fields of economics, trade, investment, security, defense, education, and relations between localities. Along with that, the two sides continue to support each other in international forums in accordance with international law and the interests of each country.

The President thanked and asked the Mongolian side to continue to pay attention and create favorable conditions for the Vietnamese community in Mongolia to feel secure in doing business, living and studying; and support the Vietnamese community to integrate well with the host country, contributing to promoting its role as a bridge between the two countries' friendly relations.

With the good sentiment and relationship between the two countries, President Luong Cuong affirmed that the Party, State and people of Vietnam are willing to share experiences in building and developing the country in areas where Vietnam has strengths and Mongolia has needs.
