National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man offers incense to commemorate heroic martyrs in Quang Tri province

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), on the afternoon of April 27, in Quang Tri province, Politburo member, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and the working delegation offered incense and flowers to commemorate heroic martyrs at Truong Son National Martyrs' Cemetery and Road 9 National Martyrs' Cemetery.

Accompanying were: Politburo member, Party Central Committee Secretary, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien; Politburo member, Party Central Committee Secretary, Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission Phan Dinh Trac; Party Central Committee Secretary, Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, Senior Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet.

With all my respect, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and the delegation expressed their infinite gratitude and deep appreciation for the great contributions of the heroic martyrs who devoted their youth, bravely fought and sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the country, and for the happiness of the people.

In front of the heroic martyrs, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and the delegation vowed to live, study and work worthy of the sacrifices of compatriots and soldiers nationwide; in the immediate future, they will focus on completing the tasks of the National Assembly at the upcoming 9th Session; and on amending and supplementing a number of articles of the 2013 Constitution and related laws, opening up a new situation for national development in the new era.

Truong Son National Martyrs Cemetery is located in Linh Truong Commune, Gio Linh District, Quang Tri Province. This is the resting place of more than 10,000 martyrs nationwide, mainly martyrs of Group 559 - Truong Son Army, who sacrificed their lives during the resistance war against the US to save the country.

Located on a quiet hill in Ward 4, Dong Ha City, Quang Tri Province, the National Martyrs' Cemetery of Route 9 is the eternal resting place of more than 10,800 martyrs from across the country who fought, served in combat and heroically sacrificed on the Route 9 Front, the Quang Tri battlefield and the neighboring country of Laos during the resistance war against the US to save the country and gain national independence.

Truong Son National Martyrs' Cemetery and Road 9 National Martyrs' Cemetery are not only the resting places of heroic martyrs, but also shining symbols of revolutionary heroism, of the spirit and will to fight for independence and the aspiration for peace of our entire Party, army and people.
