Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Tan Duc visited and congratulated typical Buddhist organizations and dignitaries on the occasion of Buddha's birthday in 2025.

(DN) - On the morning of May 7, a working delegation of the Provincial Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province led by Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Tan Duc visited, congratulated and presented gifts to typical Buddhist organizations and dignitaries in the province on the occasion of Buddha's birthday in 2025.

The delegation visited Venerable Thich Hue Sanh, Member of the Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS), Deputy Head of the Executive Council, Head of the Propagation Committee of the VBS in Dong Nai province (Thanh Long Pagoda, Trung Dung Ward, Bien Hoa City); Venerable Thich Minh Tri, Alternate Member of the Executive Council of the VBS, Head of the Executive Committee of the VBS in Bien Hoa City (Phuc Lam Pagoda, Tan Mai Ward, Bien Hoa City).

The delegation also visited Venerable Thich Dat Ma Toan Hanh, Deputy Head of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Dong Nai province (Truc Lam Nhat Quang Zen Monastery, Long Binh ward, Bien Hoa city); Venerable Thich Nu Nhu Dung, Deputy Head of the Executive Committee, Head of the Nuns' Division of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Dong Nai province (Long Van pagoda, Tam Phuoc ward, Bien Hoa city).

The delegation also visited Dong Nai Province Buddhist College (Phuoc Tan Ward, Bien Hoa City).

At the places visited, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Tan Duc emphasized that this year's Buddha's Birthday takes place at a time when the whole country celebrates important historical events of the country and people; that is, the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South, the reunification of the country, towards the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. This year's Buddha's Birthday is also the 4th time that Vietnam has hosted the United Nations Vesak Day.

On behalf of the Provincial Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Tan Duc wished the dignitaries, monks and Buddhists a happy and united Buddha's birthday and many achievements in Buddhist activities.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee respectfully acknowledged and commended the contributions and active support of the dignitaries, monks, and Buddhists of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in the province in the economic , cultural, and social development of Dong Nai. The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee believes that in the coming time, the dignitaries, monks, and Buddhists will continue to promote and respond to patriotic emulation movements, join hands and unite to build the homeland of Dong Nai to become more prosperous and strong.

Representatives of organizations and prominent Buddhist dignitaries at the places visited expressed their deep gratitude to the provincial leaders. At the same time, they emphasized that in the coming time, Dong Nai Buddhism will continue to actively carry out social security activities, clearly demonstrating the spirit of "protecting the country, bringing peace to the people" and the motto of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha "Dharma - Nation - Socialism".
