The Saigontourist Group's Culinary Culture Festival, featuring delicious dishes, is the most attractive cultural and culinary event in Ho Chi Minh City and Vietnam.

Mr. Pham Huy Binh, Chairman of Saigontourist Group and head of the program's organizing committee, shared: "We are very honored that the Saigontourist Group Culinary Festival 2022 has been selected by the World Culinary Awards as 'Asia's Best Culinary Festival 2022'. Building on the success of the 2022 festival, the 2023 festival will return on a larger and more impressive scale, both in content and presentation. This is one of Saigontourist Group's key activities to contribute to promoting the attractiveness and uniqueness of Vietnam's diverse and rich cuisine to domestic tourists as well as friends from all over the world. Through this event, we also hope to promote Ho Chi Minh City as a destination that brings together many attractive elements, including cuisine and culinary cultural events."

The Saigontourist Group's Culinary Culture Festival 2022 was selected by the World Culinary Awards as "Asia's Best Culinary Festival 2022".

The Saigontourist Group's 2023 Culinary Culture Festival will be divided into three areas: North, Central, and South, featuring 40 food stalls from 40 units belonging to the Saigontourist Group nationwide, more than last year's 10 stalls. The festival is guaranteed to accommodate over 6,000 people simultaneously. In addition, the organizers have also arranged mobile food carts selling street food, a new feature of this year's festival.

The Saigontourist Group 2023 Culinary Culture Festival continues to be a gathering place for the culinary essence of all three regions of Vietnam. Member units representing 4-5 star hotels, resorts, and restaurants belonging to the Saigontourist Group in Ho Chi Minh City and other localities will bring to the festival over 350 regional dishes and drinks, showcased by experienced chefs and the finest traditional crafts associated with cuisine. Guests will have the opportunity to enjoy dishes prepared by chefs from 5-star hotels such as Caravelle Saigon, New World Saigon, Rex Saigon, Majestic Saigon, and Grand Saigon. Luxury hotels such as Continental Saigon, De Nhat, Kim Do, Oscar, Thien Hong, Dong Khanh, Binh Quoi Tourist Village…, or high-end hotels and resorts of Saigontourist Group in provinces and cities such as Saigon - Ha Long resort, Majestic Mong Cai, Saigon - Phu Tho, Saigon - Kim Lien, Saigon - Quang Binh, Saigon - Dong Ha, Saigontourane, Saigon - Phu Quoc, Saigon - Rach Gia, Saigon - Vinh Long, Saigon - Da Lat, Saigon - Mui Ne, Saigon - Morin, Saigon - Ninh Chu, Saigon - Phu Yen, Saigon - Ban Me, Saigon - Con Dao…

The event combines cuisine, traditional crafts, and traditional arts to introduce and promote Vietnamese traditional food and culture.

Besides more than 40 units belonging to Saigontourist Group nationwide, this year's festival also features participation from Ben Tre province, Tay Ninh province, and Vietnam Airlines. Representatives from Tay Ninh will introduce unique vegetarian dishes from their locality. Ben Tre will bring delicious specialties from the coconut region to the festival. Vietnam Airlines will offer unique dishes for passengers on long-haul flights.

This year's festival also features a carefully designed and enhanced visual presentation for each area. The Northern region is represented by a village gate adorned with traditional conical hats. The Central region impresses with a Hoi An-style lantern gate. The Southern region is represented by a cluster of rice stalk sculptures, reminiscent of the fertile Mekong Delta, known as Vietnam's number one rice granary. Notably, the Southern region will feature a space showcasing 20 old Saigon houses, complete with a traditional Vietnamese filter coffee stall, reflecting the unique coffee-drinking style of old Saigon.

Introducing to the public, diners, and visitors attending the festival, the organizers this year continue to explore and select dishes that embody the distinctive, authentic flavors of each region, dishes that evoke nostalgic memories, and dishes that are "comfort food." Those wishing to enrich their culinary experience can also find unique and delicious dishes at the festival, found only in a particular region or locality, adding attractive highlights to the overall "Vietnamese culinary map"—rich, diverse in flavor, aroma, and color. This year's festival will feature a vegetarian stall offering a variety of special vegetarian dishes for vegetarian food enthusiasts. In addition to enjoying food and drinks on-site, guests can also take them home for personal consumption or as gifts for family and friends.

This year's Saigontourist Group's 2023 Culinary Culture Festival will showcase over 350 unique and delicious dishes from various regions.

Although the main focus is on cuisine, the festival also incorporates many unique activities such as art performances, cultural exchanges, folk games, and reenactments of traditional craft villages for visitors to enjoy. Performances of Quan Ho folk singing, Hue folk singing, Cai Luong (traditional Southern Vietnamese opera), monkey dance, Chhay Dam drum performances by Khmer artisans, and Then singing from the Northwest region will make the festival space even more vibrant and diverse, showcasing the cultural nuances of various regions.

Adding to the festive atmosphere are traditional folk games that evoke childhood memories. Guests with families and young children will surely be thrilled to join in games like blindfolded pig smashing, fish kicking, coconut leaf tying, ball dropping, ball throwing, dart throwing, bottle ring toss, and coin toss. Adults can participate in bingo, Chinese chess, chess, and dice games.

This year's festival will feature 10 traditional craft villages, including typical examples such as rượu (rice wine) making, tofu making, vermicelli making, puffed rice cake making, candy making, folk cakes, bamboo weaving, conical hat making, sedge mat weaving, and pottery making.

The Saigontourist Group's 2023 Culinary Culture Festival will be open from 4 PM to 10 PM daily for four consecutive days, April 20, 21, 22, and 23, 2023. On April 22 and 23 (Saturday and Sunday), there will be an additional lunch service from 10 AM to 2 PM. To participate in the festival, visitors must purchase an entrance ticket with a coupon for services, at a package price of VND 200,000 per adult. Children under 1.4 meters tall are free.
