For the health sector, these are challenges such as: globalization and international integration pose new requirements for disease control; disease structure has many changes; environmental pollution; population size increases, people's health care needs are increasingly high and diverse; the trend of population aging is creating increasing pressure on the provision of health services...
That requires the Ministry of Health and the health sector to strongly promote traditions and achievements, innovate and overcome limitations and shortcomings, and turn emulation movements into a driving force for innovation, creativity and dedication.

Regarding the direction and tasks for the coming time, the Deputy Prime Minister noted that the Ministry of Health needs to further promote the spirit of solidarity and responsibility in sharing work; the more difficult it is, the more we need to join hands and unite to build a modern, fair, and effective health system, meeting the increasingly high and diverse health care needs of the people...

The Deputy Prime Minister also emphasized the importance of improving medical ethics. Every cadre, civil servant, public employee, doctor, and medical staff must always maintain and promote the quality of "A good doctor is like a mother". In addition to constantly improving professional qualifications, it is necessary to better fulfill one's responsibilities; respect and protect the lives and health of patients; and be honest and objective in performing one's work.

According to Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan, the 8th National Emulation Congress is an important political event of the health sector, aiming to summarize and evaluate the results of the implementation of patriotic emulation movements in the past 5 years; to commend and honor collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements. This is also an opportunity for cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers in the whole sector to review the glorious tradition, arouse professional pride, solidarity and creativity, continue to promote the patriotic emulation movement, and achieve many practical achievements to welcome the 11th National Emulation Congress and the 14th National Congress of the Party.
