People are advised not to travel through Lo Xo Pass temporarily due to landslides.

On the morning of October 27, the Traffic Police Department of Quang Ngai Province advised people and drivers not to travel through Lo Xo Pass (on Ho Chi Minh Road) for the time being, due to serious landslides occurring in this area.

Authorities overcome landslide at Lo Xo Pass, morning of October 27

Lo Xo Pass is located between Quang Ngai province and Da Nang city. Due to the impact of prolonged heavy rain, many locations on the pass have landslides, rocks and soil have flowed onto the road surface. The most serious are at Km1403 and Km1408 (section through Quang Ngai province), the landslide volume has caused temporary traffic disruption.

This morning, October 27, the authorities mobilized vehicles and machinery to fix the situation at the scene, trying to temporarily reopen the road in the afternoon of the same day. Many trucks and passenger cars could not move to Da Nang City, and were forced to park on both sides of the road.

During the repair period, the traffic police force advises people not to travel through the pass to ensure safety, and can choose other alternative routes. After completing the landslide repair, the functional force will notify people to proactively move.
