The official dispatch stated that, in recent times, waste collection, treatment, and environmental sanitation in many localities have seen positive changes, contributing to improving urban and residential landscapes and enhancing the quality of life for residents.
However, in some areas, there is still indiscriminate littering, with waste accumulating and not being collected or processed promptly, causing environmental pollution, affecting people's lives and health, and detracting from the aesthetics of urban and rural areas.
To address the aforementioned issues and simultaneously raise awareness and responsibility among all levels, sectors, and the entire population in building a bright, green, clean, and beautiful living environment, especially in the coming days when the whole country will celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day on September 2nd, the Prime Minister requests the chairmen of the People's Committees of provinces and cities to launch a nationwide movement to protect the environment and participate in a general environmental cleanup to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day on September 2nd.
Local authorities are reviewing and arranging suitable locations for waste collection, public trash cans, equipment, and vehicles for waste collection and transportation in residential areas, markets, bus stations, schools, and entertainment venues, especially at locations hosting activities and events to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day on September 2nd.
The Prime Minister requested the timely collection, reception, sorting, and processing of waste, preventing the accumulation of waste that could cause unsanitary conditions and environmental pollution, especially in residential areas, public places, tourist areas, streets, villages, alleys, canals, ponds, rivers, and coastlines before, during, and after the 80th anniversary of National Day on September 2nd. He also called for increased inspection, supervision, and strict handling of violations of environmental protection regulations, particularly the indiscriminate dumping of waste.
The Prime Minister requested the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to coordinate with authorities at all levels to organize campaigns for general cleaning and waste collection to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day on September 2nd.
The Youth Union directs youth unions at all levels to promote their pioneering role, organize volunteer youth teams to collect waste, plant trees, clean village roads, alleys, streets, canals, ponds, rivers, and coastlines; coordinate with schools to organize activities on sorting solid household waste, cleaning school premises to be bright, green, clean, and beautiful, and educate and raise awareness about environmental protection for students.
The Vietnam Women's Union directs women's associations at all levels to launch movements such as "Families with 5 No's and 3 Cleanliness Standards," and "Clean Houses, Beautiful Alleys"; and to promote propaganda, guidance, and mobilization of members to actively sort household waste and maintain environmental hygiene in their homes and residential areas. The Vietnam Farmers' Association plays a core role in building and maintaining community models such as "Flower-lined roads, green tree-lined roads," "Green, clean, beautiful, and safe villages," and "Waste-free fields."
Ministries, departments, localities, organizations, agencies, and units at the central and local levels are responsible for maintaining environmental hygiene at their offices, headquarters, and workplaces to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day on September 2nd.
