"Nurturing Aspirations" Program: Support for 2 disadvantaged children

On the morning of May 12, the program "Nurturing Aspirations" organized by the Provincial Children's Support Fund in coordination with Binh Duong Radio and Television Station organized a delegation to visit and provide support to the family of Ha Thanh Ngoc (born in 2015, residing in Thai Hoa ward, Tan Uyen city) and Nguyen Ngoc To Uyen (born in 2016, residing in Thuan Giao ward, Thuan An city).

Ha Thanh Ngoc has cirrhosis and biliary atresia. She had a liver transplant in March 2025. After the surgery, her liver is gradually recovering. Due to lung complications, she is currently unable to breathe on her own, has to be on a ventilator and is learning to wean herself off the ventilator. The cost of a liver transplant is about 1.5 billion VND. The cost of treatment is about 10 million to 15 million VND/day. However, her family is poor, with 4 members, her father is a truck driver, and her mother does not have a stable job. All living expenses and medical treatment depend mainly on her father's income.

Nguyen Ngoc To Uyen has cirrhosis and biliary atresia. The doctor prescribed medication and check-ups every 2 months; to improve her health, she needs a liver transplant. However, the family is poor, with 3 members living in a rented house, the father is a worker, the mother has no stable job. Due to the long-term treatment, the cost of liver transplant surgery is too high, all the treatment costs for her and the family's living expenses depend mainly on the father's income, so the family is currently unable to pay for her hospital fees.

The delegation presented 20 million VND in support to Ha Thanh Ngoc and 10 million VND to Nguyen Ngoc To Uyen. On this occasion, local authorities and benefactors also presented gifts to the family to help them better care for the children.
