1. Since childhood, the image of a police officer has left a beautiful impression and is a special love in the heart of Senior Lieutenant Van Tuan Nha, currently working at the Long An Ward Police, Tay Ninh Province. That love and ideal has urged Nha to choose a proud path - to join the police force to contribute part of his strength to maintain security, order, and protect the peaceful life of local people.

Senior Lieutenant Van Tuan Nha has donated blood 20 times.

After more than 14 years of working, Mr. Nha's love for the profession, spirit and ideals of a police officer have been increasingly nurtured. As a crime prevention officer of the Ward Police, his task is to grasp the situation of all types of crimes in the area, advise and propose to the Chief of Police plans and measures to prevent, detect and effectively combat all types of crimes, social evils and violations of the law on security and order according to regulations.

In addition, he also participated in the peak period of attacking and suppressing all types of crimes, ensuring security and order during major holidays, and coordinating with professional units to organize patrols to prevent and combat crimes in the area; reviewing and making a list to manage the number of illegal drug users, drug addicts, and people under post-drug rehabilitation management residing in the area according to regulations.

Mr. Nha shared: “During my work, I have received trust and support from the Party Committee - Long An Ward Police Command, my teammates and especially the local people. That is a great advantage. However, the police force also faces a lot of pressure. This job requires high discipline and organization, working regardless of hours with many complicated situations, even dangerous situations that can happen at any time. Sometimes, resolving conflicts in the community is also very sensitive. To overcome difficulties, I always maintain a sense of responsibility, practice professional skills and constantly learn from the experiences of my comrades and teammates. Most importantly, I must stay calm, respectful, listen and understand, especially when working with the people.”

In particular, Mr. Nha also received support and coordination from his comrades and teammates. He worked in groups, supporting each other in patrolling, handling incidents or closely coordinating with security forces, local order, and militia when necessary. According to Mr. Nha, the spirit of comradeship and teamwork not only helps work more effectively but also creates peace of mind, solidarity and sharing among the brothers in the unit - which is very necessary in a high-pressure environment.

To help him feel secure at work, his family is always a solid support. Mr. Nha confided: “My family members understand the nature of my work - sometimes I have to work all night, sometimes I have to go out to handle unexpected situations, even during holidays and Tet. The sympathy and sharing from my family gives me more mental strength, because I know that behind me there is always a warm home, someone waiting for me to return home safely.”

On his days off, Mr. Nha returns home to reunite with his family or goes back to his hometown to visit his grandparents. Those simple moments help him regain energy after stressful days on duty and, most importantly, keep his family warm and full of love to have more motivation to continue working outside the home.
