CIC establishes Information Technology Department: Affirming the spirit of innovation and strong transformation

On the afternoon of November 5, 2025, at the headquarters of the National Credit Information Center of Vietnam (CIC), CIC successfully held a Conference to announce the decision to establish the Information Technology (IT) Department, marking an important turning point in the strategy of comprehensive digital transformation and development of CIC according to a modern model, operating according to international standards.

Attending the Decision Announcement Ceremony were Mr. Cao Van Binh - Chairman of CIC Management Board; Mr. Tran Trung Dung - Acting General Director of CIC; and representatives of the Board of Directors, leaders and specialists of relevant functional departments.

The establishment of the IT Department demonstrates the strategic vision of the CIC Board of Directors with the spirit of daring to change and transform. This is not only a change in organizational structure, but also a strategic reshaping to make technology, data and information security the pillars of the new operating model, creating a solid foundation for the national credit information ecosystem. The IT Department will play a central role in implementing projects to modernize technology infrastructure, develop data platforms, and apply modern technology solutions to more effectively serve the management, operation and provision of credit information products and services of the State Bank.

Speaking at the announcement ceremony, a representative of the CIC Board of Directors emphasized: “CIC identifies technology as the pillar of development. The establishment of the IT Department is not only to meet the requirements of modern internal operations, but also aims to make CIC a modern, transparent and internationally standardized data organization.”

In the coming time, the IT Department will be the focal point to coordinate with specialized units to standardize digital operating procedures, strengthen information security, and promote the application of new technologies in business operations. The event announcing the establishment of the Information Technology Department is the beginning of a new development phase of CIC, affirming the determination of the entire Board of Directors and CIC staff in innovating, integrating and creating national data values ​​in a transparent, modern and sustainable direction.
