Bac Ninh Club says goodbye to coach Hoang Anh Tuan

(NLDO) - Coach Hoang Anh Tuan lost his job for the second time in Vietnamese football tournaments in just one season 2024-2025.

After round 6 of the 2024-2025 National Second Division, Bac Ninh Club terminated the contract with coach Hoang Anh Tuan. This is the second time this season that the coach who participated in the 2017 U20 World Cup has lost his job.

According to the club's leadership, the cause comes from many factors, including the 0-1 loss to Quang Ninh , a direct competitor in the race for promotion. This defeat caused Bac Ninh to fall to third place in Group A, and at the same time lost the right to decide in the race for a place in the First Division. According to the tournament format, the top two teams will be promoted.

This is also because the club has a heavily invested force and aims to be promoted right in the season. However, the Kinh Bac team has only won 4, drawn 1 and lost 1 after 6 rounds, an achievement that is considered not up to the expectations of the leadership.

Coach Hoang Anh Tuan started leading Bac Ninh in early March.

The decision to change head coach is considered the first step of Bac Ninh Club to adjust strategy and improve performance in the rest of the season.

Notably, Bac Ninh is one of the few clubs in the Second Division that is oriented towards professional and systematic development, under the strategic advice of Vice President of the Korean Football Federation Park Hang-seo. Mr. Park's presence also helps this team attract great attention from experts and fans.

After the departure of coach Hoang Anh Tuan, Bac Ninh Club is expected to soon announce a new head coach in the near future.
