Werder Bremen Club will launch a strong lineup to compete against the Vietnamese women's team

Speaking at a press conference before the friendly match with Werder Bremen women's club, Mr. Mai Duc Chung - Head coach of the Vietnamese women's team - said that the whole team felt honored and proud to be part of the special event on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Germany.

In terms of expertise, the head coach of the Vietnamese women's team emphasized: "This match will bring many useful lessons to the Vietnamese women's players, especially in the context of the team rejuvenating its force, in preparation for the goals in 2025."

The Vietnamese women's team gathered on May 6, with the team missing some young players who were busy competing with the U19 women's team and especially the players of Ho Chi Minh City Club as this team is preparing for the semi-finals of the Asian Women's Club Championship.

Coach Mai Duc Chung highly appreciated the training spirit and quick adaptation of the players present: "We always try to find harmony between experienced players and young faces. The whole team will compete with high determination to bring about the best results."

On the Werder Bremen women's side, head coach Thomas Horch also expressed his excitement ahead of the match. He said the team arrived in Vietnam right after the end of the women's Bundesliga season. Despite having to get used to the hot and humid weather, the Bremen players were still ready to take the field with their strongest lineup.

“The Vietnamese women's team is a high-level team, having participated in the 2023 Women's World Cup. Therefore, this will be a good experience for the Werder Bremen players," said coach Thomas. Werder Bremen is a team with a strong and even team, playing well on the field, implementing tactics, strategies, and controlling the ball well. Hopefully we will be able to show it in tomorrow's match."

The match between the Vietnam women's team and Werder Bremen will take place at Hang Day Stadium at 7:00 p.m. tomorrow (May 16), open to the public. The two teams are allowed to make up to 5 substitutions, with no limit on the number of substitutes.
