(DN) - On October 30, according to the Vietnam Expressway Corporation (VEC), up to now, the total output of the entire Ben Luc - Long Thanh Expressway Project has reached more than 96% of the contract value, equivalent to 55km out of the total nearly 58km length of the entire expressway has been basically completed.

Also according to VEC, out of a total of 16 bidding packages of the entire project, up to now, 14 packages have been completed, 2 packages are being urgently deployed for construction: XL-NG51 (intersection of National Highway 51) and J3-1 (Phuoc Khanh Bridge).

Of which, the XL-NG51 package, the construction of the National Highway 51 intersection, has completed more than 49% of the volume compared to the signed contract. However, this package is still 23% behind schedule due to the problem of about 300m of land connecting to Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway. This is an approved package added to the project to connect Ben Luc - Long Thanh Expressway with Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway.

With package J3-1, the construction of Phuoc Khanh bridge (3km long) was officially started at the end of April 2025. To date, the construction volume of this package has reached more than 11%. The contractor is adjusting the construction organization measures to speed up the progress in the coming time.

Currently, the construction process of the remaining two packages of the Ben Luc - Long Thanh Expressway Project is also facing difficulties in the supply of construction materials. Although the remaining volume is not large, the material supply capacity in some areas is limited, affecting the construction progress of the two packages.

The Ben Luc - Long Thanh Expressway has a total length of nearly 58km, passing through the provinces of Dong Nai , Tay Ninh and Ho Chi Minh City. Of which, the section passing through Dong Nai province is nearly 29km long. The route has a scale of 4 complete lanes, planned to expand to 8 lanes, designed speed of 100km/h, total investment of more than 29.5 trillion VND.

In early 2025 and April 2025, 3 sections of the Ben Luc - Long Thanh Expressway Project with a length of more than 28km were opened to traffic and put into operation. According to the plan, the entire project will be completed and put into operation synchronously in 2026.
