Sincere, enthusiastic, dynamic, creative… are what we feel in the young teacher Do Thi Dieu Linh, former Secretary of the Youth Union of Trung Vuong High School.
On June 15, Ms. Linh received the Decision on transfer and appointment to the position of Vice Principal of Pham Ngu Lao High School. Ms. Linh modestly expressed: The time working as well as the activities of the Youth Union at Trung Vuong High School with valuable experiences and memories will be the luggage for me to be determined to perform well the tasks in the new position. In particular, being recognized as an Advanced Youth Following Uncle Ho's Teachings at the 8th National Congress of Advanced Youth Following Uncle Ho's Teachings in 2025 is a great honor for me.
As Secretary of the Youth Union of Trung Vuong High School, Ms. Linh was always proactive and creative in initiating and organizing exciting and meaningful Youth Union activities. Programs such as "Youth Festival", "Red Flamboyant Volunteer", "STEM Festival and Students with Startup Ideas"... attracted a large number of students to participate, helping them maximize their personal potential and responsibility to the community.
Being close to the students, she encourages them to participate in cultural and sports movements to both develop their talents and personal strengths and to practice self-confidence and develop extracurricular activities in the school. With practical experience in the Youth Union, she participated in writing the initiative "Managing revolutionary ideal education , ethics, and cultural lifestyle for students of Trung Vuong High School in the current period" which was approved by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and recognized as a provincial initiative in 2024.
Not only excellent in the Youth Union work, Ms. Do Thi Dieu Linh is also a good teacher with solid expertise. Imbued with Uncle Ho's teachings: Teachers must pay attention to both talent and virtue, talent is culture, expertise, virtue is politics . If you want students to have virtue, teachers must have virtue... Therefore, teachers must be exemplary, especially for young children...; Ms. Linh always strives, practices, improves professional qualifications and teaching skills, researches, and proposes new solutions in teaching to meet the needs of students and innovate educational methods. In each lesson, she always values the proactive role of students, puts students at the center, teachers play the role of guiding and inspiring students. In the past, she has applied information technology, used new teaching methods and techniques to create excitement and enthusiasm for students in the lessons. In particular, through her teaching methods, students have been trained in additional skills such as: Applying information technology to presentations, making clips for presentations, and skills in applying Chemistry knowledge to solve practical problems in life. Therefore, Chemistry has become a favorite subject of many students in the school.
In the work of training excellent students, guiding students in scientific research, realizing that this is an important task in improving the quality of education and enhancing the position of the school, Ms. Linh pondered how to have more students excel in the subjects she is in charge of. Ms. Linh shared: When assigned to train the excellent student team, guide students to participate in competitions organized by all levels, I and the students exchanged and discussed difficult content to stimulate students' initiative, creativity and problem discovery; guide students on how to research and study on their own through books, the internet and previous students. I also spent time researching documents, especially new documents, to arrange and compile training content for them. Thanks to that, many students have won high prizes in the Excellent Student Selection Competitions and competitions such as: Third Prize in the regional round of the 30th National Youth Informatics Competition in 2024; Second prize in the provincial science and technology competition for high school students in the 2024-2025 school year.
In recognition of these efforts, teacher Do Thi Dieu Linh has been awarded many certificates of merit by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Director of the Department of Education and Training, Provincial Youth Union Executive Committee; recognized as an excellent teacher at the provincial level, and an outstanding young teacher of Hung Yen province.
