Sincere, enthusiastic, dynamic, and creative… these are the qualities we perceived in young teacher Do Thi Dieu Linh, former Secretary of the Youth Union at Trung Vuong High School.
On June 15th, Ms. Linh received the Decision to transfer and appoint her to the position of Deputy Principal of Pham Ngu Lao High School. Ms. Linh humbly expressed: "My time working and participating in Youth Union activities at Trung Vuong High School, with its valuable experiences and memories, will be a valuable asset for me to strive to perform my duties well in my new position. In particular, being recognized as an Advanced Youth Following Uncle Ho's Teachings at the 8th National Congress of Advanced Youth Following Uncle Ho's Teachings in 2025 is a great honor for me."
As the Secretary of the Youth Union at Trung Vuong High School, Ms. Linh was always proactive and creative in initiating and organizing vibrant and meaningful Youth Union activities. Programs such as "Youth Festival," "Red Phoenix Flower Volunteer Program," and "STEM Festival and Students with Startup Ideas" attracted a large number of students, helping them maximize their individual potential and sense of responsibility to the community.
Being close to her students, she encouraged them to participate in arts and sports activities to develop their talents and strengths, as well as to build self-confidence and develop extracurricular activities within the school. Drawing on her practical experience in youth union work, she contributed to writing the initiative "Managing the education of revolutionary ideals, ethics, and cultural lifestyle for students at Trung Vuong High School in the current period," which was approved and recognized as a provincial-level initiative in 2024 by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
Not only is she outstanding in her work with the Youth Union, Ms. Do Thi Dieu Linh is also a skilled teacher with a solid professional background. Imbued with President Ho Chi Minh's teachings: "Teachers must pay attention to both talent and virtue; talent is culture and expertise, virtue is politics . To instill virtue in students, teachers must also possess virtue… Therefore, teachers must be exemplary, especially for young children…"; Ms. Linh always strives to improve her professional skills and teaching abilities, exploring and proposing new teaching solutions to meet the needs of students and the innovation of educational methods. In each lesson, she always emphasizes the active role of students, placing them at the center, with the teacher acting as a guide and inspirer. Over time, she has applied information technology and used new teaching methods and techniques to create interest and enthusiasm among students in her lessons. In particular, through her teaching methods, students have developed additional skills such as: applying information technology to presentations, creating video clips for presentations, and applying chemistry knowledge to solve practical problems in life. Therefore, chemistry has become a favorite subject for many students in the school.
In her work of nurturing gifted students and guiding them in scientific research, recognizing this as a crucial task in improving the quality of education and enhancing the school's prestige, Ms. Linh pondered how to produce more students who excel in the subjects she teaches. Ms. Linh shared: "When assigned to train gifted students and guide them in competitions organized by various levels, I discuss and exchange ideas with the students on difficult topics to stimulate their initiative, creativity, and problem-solving skills; I guide them on how to conduct independent research and self-study through books, the internet, and senior students. I also dedicate time to researching materials, especially new ones, to organize and compile training content for them. As a result, many students have won high prizes in gifted student selection exams and competitions such as: Third Prize in the regional round of the 30th National Young Informatics Competition in 2024; Second prize in the provincial science and technology competition for high school students in the 2024-2025 school year.
In recognition of these efforts, teacher Do Thi Dieu Linh has been awarded numerous certificates of merit and commendations from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, the Director of the Department of Education and Training, and the Provincial Youth Union Executive Committee; she has also been recognized as an excellent teacher at the provincial level and an outstanding young teacher of Hung Yen province.
