T&T People's Police won the men's team championship from Hanoi

NDO - On the evening of May 22, the final match of the men's team event ended with a convincing victory belonging to the T&T 1 People's Police team. Dinh Anh Hoang, Le Dinh Duc and Ta Hong Khanh all won overwhelmingly against the players of Hanoi 1 to bring home the precious men's team championship.

The final match of the men's team event was a confrontation between the defending champion Hanoi 1 and People's Police T&T 1.

The first match is between 2009-born talent Do Manh Luong (Hanoi 1) and SEA Games champion Dinh Anh Hoang (People's Police 1).

Manh Luong performed quite well in the early stages, competing with Anh Hoang for every point in the first set. However, the young player gradually lost to the experience and bravery of his senior Anh Hoang. The player of the T&T 1 People's Police won 3-0 with the scores of 14-12, 11-6 and 11-9.

The second match is between the three-time men's singles champion at the tournament - Nguyen Anh Tu (Hanoi 1) and veteran player Le Dinh Duc (People's Police T&T 1).

Surprisingly, despite being rated higher, Anh Tu lost to Dinh Duc in 3 consecutive sets with the scores of 11-7, 13-11 and 12-10. As a result, Cong An Nhan Dan T&T 1 took the lead 2-0.

With that advantage, Ta Hong Khanh (T&T 1 People's Police) entered the third match against Do Tuan Kiet (Hanoi 1) with full confidence. Hong Khanh dominated and also won 3-0 with the scores of 11-9, 11-6 and 11-5.

Thus, with 3 distinct victories, T&T People's Police 1 defeated Hanoi 1, reclaiming the men's team championship that fell to Hanoi 1 in last year's tournament.

Sharing after the championship, coach Phan Huy Hoang - in charge of the T&T People's Police men's team shared: "We are feeling very happy to win the championship. Last year, T&T People's Police lost 2-3 to Hanoi, due to the superior strength of Nguyen Anh Tu. However, in this year's final match, our Le Dinh Duc was excellent in defeating Anh Tu, thereby creating a strong mental boost for the whole team to win the final match".

Along with that, tennis player Le Dinh Duc of T&T People's Police said that he was lucky when facing his senior Nguyen Anh Tu. He said emotionally: "I seized the opportunity and finished well, it was really a match with a result beyond expectations."
