Accordingly, the Provincial Police Director requested the entire provincial police force to urgently and resolutely deploy storm prevention and control according to the motto "4 on-site", "3 ready"; with key tasks: Timely report all information on storm and flood response to the Provincial Police's Steering Committee for Climate Change Response, Natural Disaster Prevention and Control and Search and Rescue; protect people's lives and property; review and evacuate people from dangerous areas; divide and control traffic at culverts, ferries, and flooded areas; close roads when safety is not guaranteed; be ready to rescue in low-lying areas and flood prevention and control works.
Along with that, strengthen security and order, prevent criminals from taking advantage of natural disasters to steal and appropriate property; widely propagate storm developments, prevention measures and images of police forces participating in rescue.
The Staff Department is on duty 24/7 to closely monitor the storm, provide direction and ensure communication. The Logistics Department prepares vehicles such as ships, canoes, life buoys, medicine, and logistical support. The Mobile Police Department is ready to evacuate people, protect property, and key projects. The Traffic Police Department controls boats, anchors safely, and directs traffic on roads and waterways.
The Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Department is on duty at the highest level, inspects fire prevention and fighting at key facilities, and is ready to handle incidents. The Criminal Police Department and the Administrative Management of Social Order prevent and handle crimes, and protect property in evacuation areas. The Political Affairs Department organizes propaganda, mobilizes donations, and proposes rewards.
Police in communes and wards help people reinforce their houses, evacuate cages and rafts, prepare means to evacuate islanders to the mainland, and strictly manage guardhouses and boat moorings.
The provincial police require serious command 24/24 hours, ensuring absolute safety for officers, soldiers and equipment; maintaining proper etiquette and regulations when working. With the spirit of "fighting the storm like fighting the enemy", Khanh Hoa police force is mobilizing all forces, closely coordinating with the government, army and militia to protect people's lives and property, minimizing damage caused by storm Kalmaegi.
