Lieutenant General Mai Hoang informed that the peak period of crime suppression and ensuring security and order will take place from July 10 to September 15.

The Director of Ho Chi Minh City Police Department requested the Heads of Police of units and localities to strive to achieve and exceed the set peak targets with the highest determination and greatest efforts.
In particular, it is necessary to synchronously deploy measures and proactively identify complex security and order issues in order to promptly and effectively handle them, and not be passive or surprised in any situation.
Along with that, focus on absolutely protecting the security and safety of party congresses at all levels, towards the 14th National Party Congress, important national events and key targets and projects in the city.
At the same time, drastically implement solutions to increase the rate of crime investigation, detection and handling of crime reports and denunciations; ensure the implementation of targets to reduce crimes and social order.
Resolutely fight to eradicate gangs, dens, and criminal groups right from their inception, not allowing complicated activities.
Lieutenant General Mai Hoang also requested to continue to synchronously implement solutions to stop the "supply" and reduce the "demand" for drugs, detect and handle drug crime rings and complex drug hotspots.
At the same time, step up the detection and fight against economic crimes, corruption and waste in key economic sectors and fields.
At the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Tho, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, said that after operating the 2-level local government model, Ho Chi Minh City, with its expanded area, faces many challenges in urban management and security. Therefore, this peak period of crime suppression is an urgent professional requirement and a decisive step in the process of ensuring safety for all development activities of the city.
"All levels and sectors need to closely coordinate with Ho Chi Minh City Police to build a solid security posture from the grassroots level," comrade Nguyen Van Tho requested.
Representing the task force at the ceremony, Colonel Nguyen Tien Dat, Head of the Criminal Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police, expressed his determination that all officers and soldiers will strictly implement the orders of the Director of Ho Chi Minh City Police. Thereby, the city police force will organize a fierce and synchronous attack, strictly handle all types of crimes, maintain political security and social order and safety throughout the city.
On the same morning, the police of many wards and communes such as Xom Chieu, Khanh Hoi, Phu Dinh... all organized a high-point launching ceremony to attack and suppress crime, ensure security and order, and remove advertisements in the ward.
