Stabbed drinking buddy for being advised to drink less alcohol

On November 2, Binh Thanh Dong Commune Police said that the Investigation Police Agency, An Giang Provincial Police had initiated a case, prosecuted the accused, and issued a temporary detention order for Nguyen Van Thanh Phuong, born in 1982, residing in Binh Phu 1 Hamlet, Binh Thanh Dong Commune, to investigate the act of intentionally causing injury and illegal use of military weapons.

According to the investigation results, at about 8:30 p.m. on June 28, Nguyen Van Thanh Phuong drank alcohol with three other people. Phuong drank about three glasses of alcohol, then Mr. NTN advised him to stop because he was worried that Phuong would come home drunk and cause trouble for his family. Hearing that, Phuong said nothing, got up and went home, while the other three people continued drinking.

After finishing drinking, Mr. NTN passed by Phuong's house when he was suddenly stabbed in the stomach and arm by the man who came out of the house with a knife. Seeing this, everyone intervened and took Mr. N to the emergency room. The injury assessment result was 19%.

Currently, the Investigation Police Agency of An Giang Provincial Police is consolidating the case file to handle according to the law.
