The medical major does not consider admission based on academic records.

Age regulations for candidates
Phan Chau Trinh University considers early admission to the medical major according to 3 methods: Method of considering high school study results based on the average score of 3 subjects according to the admission combination of grade 12. Method of considering the score of the National University of Ho Chi Minh City's competency assessment exam, the admission score for the medical major is from 650 and above. Method of considering university graduation results, the school considers candidates who have graduated from regular universities in the health sector (not considering cases of graduating from the university transfer program) and based on the graduation score of the entire university program.
For all 3 early admission methods above, Phan Chau Trinh University has general regulations on admission conditions including: High school graduation; high school graduation time not more than 3 years from the year of admission; not considered for candidates studying in the regulareducation system; having excellent academic performance at the end of grade 12 or having a high school graduation score of 8.0 or higher. Notably, the school stipulates that candidates participating in the admission must be no older than 27 years old (as of September 1, 2024).
Some other universities also have early admissions for medical majors but have not announced specific application instructions such as: Faculty of Medicine (Ho Chi Minh City National University), Tan Tao University, Vo Truong Toan University...
In addition to early admission methods based on academic records, aptitude test scores, SAT scores, university graduation scores of related majors, the above universities also consider admission based on high school graduation exam scores.
