At the ceremony, the leaders of the Department of Internal Affairs announced Resolution No. 1198. Accordingly, Phan Rang-Thap Cham City has 5 wards subject to reorganization: The entire natural area of ​​0.45 km2 and a population of 5,200 people of My Huong ward and the entire natural area of ​​2.64 km2 and a population of 11,356 people of Tan Tai ward will be merged into Kinh Dinh ward. After the merger, Kinh Dinh ward will have a natural area of ​​3.50 km2 and a population of 24,656 people. The entire natural area of ​​1.1 km2 and a population of 10,660 people of Thanh Son ward will be merged into Phu Ha ward. After the merger, Phu Ha ward will have a natural area of ​​2.4 km2 and a population of 23,957 people. After the reorganization of commune-level administrative units, Phan Rang-Thap Cham City... Phan Rang - Thap Cham has 13 commune-level administrative units, including 12 wards and 1 commune; Ninh Thuan province has 7 district-level administrative units, including 6 districts and 1 city, with a total of 62 commune-level administrative units, including 47 communes, 12 wards, and 3 towns.

Recognizing the importance of administrative unit restructuring, the Party committees and authorities of Phan Rang - Thap Cham City have recently organized and seriously implemented the directives of the Central Government and the province; proactively developed a plan to organize and implement the restructuring of commune-level administrative units in the 2023-2025 period in a thorough, systematic, transparent, democratic, and compliant manner, meeting the set goals, requirements, and timelines. Following the announcement ceremony, the city continues to focus on implementing solutions to ensure that the new administrative units operate continuously, stably, and effectively, meeting the requirements of streamlining the organization and apparatus, reforming administration, improving the efficiency of management and operation, contributing to concentrating resources, developing potential and advantages, and creating momentum and conditions for socio -economic development of Phan Rang - Thap Cham City in particular and the province in general.

Speaking at the ceremony, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee highly appreciated the efforts and sense of responsibility of Phan Rang - Thap Cham City in implementing the reorganization of commune-level administrative units, ensuring the progress, goals, and plans were met. The reorganization of administrative units is of paramount importance to the lives of the people, the activities of organizations and businesses, leadership, direction, management, and the socio-economic development of the locality.

The Party committees, government, Fatherland Front, and mass organizations of the city, especially the newly established wards, are urged to continue promoting the spirit of solidarity and striving to effectively implement tasks and solutions to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the new administrative units' organizational structures. In particular, attention should be paid to several important tasks: Continuing to promote information and propaganda to raise awareness, sense of responsibility, and consensus among cadres, Party members, and the people in implementing Resolution No. 1198. Rearranging and consolidating the organizational structure of agencies and organizations to ensure uniformity and meet the requirements for preparing for the Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term and the elections of People's Council representatives at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.
