Da Nang industry recovers strongly

DNVN - In the first 4 months of 2025, according to the Da Nang Statistical Office, industrial production activities in the city recorded positive progress, with a growth rate of nearly 12% over the same period in 2024.

HGPT Mechanical's steel structure products are exported to markets with high standards such as Australia.

In particular, HGPT has won bids to supply Kingpost steel structures and cranes in many large projects such as The Legend City, Nobu Residences, Hoa Vang Logistics Service Center, APEC Park (Da Nang), Da Nang International Airport, Kim Long Motor Automobile Factory, Premium Silicate Factory (Hue), Hoa Phat Dung Quat ( Quang Ngai )... and exported to markets requiring high standards such as Australia...

The success of HGPT also reflects the revival of Da Nang's industry in recent years. In the first 4 months of 2025, according to the Da Nang Statistical Office, industrial production activities in the city recorded positive progress, with a growth rate of nearly 12% compared to the same period in 2024.

The Industrial Production Index (IIP) in April 2025 is estimated to increase by 7.4% over the previous month and 10.6% over the same period last year. In the first 4 months of the year, the IIP increased by 11.7% over the same period in 2024. This is considered a quite impressive growth rate and basically close to the growth target set by the City People's Council Resolution.

According to the Danang Statistical Office, as an industry that transforms raw materials into products of higher value, the manufacturing and processing industry is considered the foundation that contributes to improving economic efficiency, promoting the development of other industries, creating many job opportunities for workers... and contributing to the cause of industrialization and modernization of the country.

In the first 4 months of 2025, this industry group of Da Nang increased by more than 12% over the same period, in which some manufacturing industries achieved quite high growth rates such as beverage production (+23.8%); wood processing and wood products (+29.7%); production of drugs, pharmaceutical chemicals and medicinal materials (+28.8%); production of rubber products (+26.1%); production of non-metallic mineral products (+34.0%); production of prefabricated metals (+15.8%); production of motor vehicles (+25.9%)...

In particular, the increase in export orders in the first months of 2025 has pushed up the IIP index in some key industries. In addition, a number of factories have expanded their production scale, contributing to the increase in product production volume in the area.

According to Mr. Ha Duc Hung, the great efforts of the business community and individual production households to overcome difficulties in the context of increasingly fierce competition, along with the support policies of the city government and the current economic recovery trend, are the factors contributing to the results that HGPT and Da Nang industrial enterprises have achieved in recent times.

However, the Da Nang Statistical Office said that there are still some industries in the city that have not shown signs of recovery, typically the production of beds, cabinets, tables and chairs in the first 4 months of 2025 decreased by 9.2% compared to the same period. The frequent interruption of orders makes the financial capacity of enterprises increasingly narrowed by debt.
