CELEBRATION OF 139 YEARS OF INTERNATIONAL LABOR DAY (May 1, 1886 - May 1, 2025):
Faced with the new demands of the digital transformation era and the 4th industrial revolution, the direct labor force is the pioneer in innovation and creativity. In Binh Dinh, many workers and laborers have surpassed themselves, proactively learned and improved techniques, contributing to improving productivity, product quality, and benefiting businesses.
Innovation and creativity to adapt to the requirements of the times
Aiming to contribute to the implementation of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo , Resolution No. 71/NQ-CP dated April 1, 2025 of the Government on making breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor has chosen the theme of Workers' Month 2025: "Vietnamese workers take the lead in entering a new era".

According to Permanent Vice President of the Provincial Federation of Labor Nguyen Thi Bich Thuy, this is not only a message, but also a call to action, affirming the role of the working class in the period of integration, industrialization and modernization of the country. Workers need to proactively study, improve their qualifications and skills, change careers, and adapt to the new requirements of the 4th Industrial Revolution.
Ms. Thuy emphasized: Along with that, trade unions at all levels need to continue to closely coordinate with business owners in organizing emulation movements to improve skills and professional qualifications, and arouse creativity in each union member and worker. Timely honoring and rewarding workers will encourage innovation and creativity to improve work efficiency.
In recent years, the Provincial Federation of Labor and trade unions at all levels in the province have actively launched and implemented the movement "Good Labor, Creative Labor" associated with major events of the country and the province, creating practical motivation for union members and workers to promote initiatives and improve techniques. In 2024 alone, 34 scientific research topics conducted by 27 union members and workers in the province were registered to participate in the "Creative Labor" award. As a result, 14 topics by 13 authors were awarded the Certificate of Creative Labor by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. In addition, there are hundreds of initiatives by union members and workers from production labor practices, effectively applied in enterprises.
During the Workers' Month 2025, the Provincial Federation of Labor proposed that the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee consider and award certificates of merit to 16 workers and laborers with outstanding achievements. One of them is Mr. Le Ngoc Khoa, a worker at Dinh Binh Hydropower Joint Stock Company (Vinh Thanh district), who has had many effective technical initiatives in recent years and was awarded the Creative Labor Certificate in 2024 by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
Mr. Khoa shared: I always actively learn from my colleagues about work experiences, learn more about science and technology to improve my professional qualifications and skills, and strive to achieve high results in performing assigned tasks. In 2024, I had a number of initiatives and technical improvements that brought practical benefits to the Company.
Initiative from the heart, effectiveness from practice
In reality, behind every initiative and technical improvement is the process of learning and persistently overcoming challenges of employees. At the same time, enterprises need to pay attention to building a working environment that encourages creativity, and have policies to treat and honor employees with great contributions.
Mr. Nguyen Vu Luong, Manager of the mechanical workshop of Mountech Company Limited - Binh Dinh Branch (An Nhon Town), is a typical worker representing Binh Dinh province who was awarded the Nguyen Duc Canh Award for the 4th time - 2023 by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. He always strives to learn, proactively seeks out technical documents, updates new technologies to apply in practice, and makes many technical improvements such as: Trimming stainless steel edges, turning aluminum tube ends, polishing stainless steel straps, assembling alcohol stoves, manufacturing knives - product cutting molds... bringing a total value of nearly 1.5 billion VND to the Company.
“If you want to have initiatives, you have to study hard and face challenges. I always encourage my colleagues in the workshop to study together and improve together to work more effectively. The trust and support of the Company's leaders, as well as timely rewards and encouragement when there are good initiatives, have created great motivation and fueled my passion for creativity,” Mr. Luong shared.
Mr. Mai Trung Hung, Head of Maintenance Team - Dynamic Workshop, Saigon - Central Beer Joint Stock Company Branch in Quy Nhon, a union member, and also an exemplary party member of Binh Dinh province, was recognized by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor in 2025. Over the years, he has been entrusted with the task of assigning and renovating a number of equipment to save energy such as: Renovating the preliminary water tank to separate trash from the bottle washing machine with a capacity of 15,000 bottles/hour. Manufacturing a hot water heater from utilizing the flash steam of the hops boiler. Renovating the water tank to collect the water source for washing the filter pot for reuse. Installing a new pressure reducing valve for hot steam to the bottling line with a capacity of 10,000 bottles/hour. At the same time, participating in an initiative project "Adjusting the pressure of hot steam supplied to consumers" was highly appreciated by the Company.
Mr. Hung said: “At work, I always uphold the sense of responsibility, promote dynamism and creativity, the spirit of daring to think and daring to do. I strive to study to improve my qualifications and professional skills, and apply information technology to complete my work quickly and accurately.”
Tam Quan Garment Joint Stock Company (Hoai Nhon Town) is one of the enterprises that actively encourages workers to have initiatives. Ms. Nguyen Thi Tiep, Chairwoman of the Trade Union of Tam Quan Garment Joint Stock Company, said: Every month, the Company reviews initiatives for the Board of Directors to award certificates and rewards. In 2024, the Company had 41 initiatives and improvements with 57 union members participating, promoting value and generating billions of VND in profits.
Nguyen Thi Thuy Hang, technical staff at Tam Quan Garment Joint Stock Company (Hoai Nhon Town), in 2024 proactively proposed an initiative to improve the passant step on the bottom edge without placing a pattern but using a zinc rod fixed to the presser foot, helping to reduce 31 seconds in the time to perform the step for each product, saving time and increasing productivity by 869 products/day.
Ms. Hang is also a typical example that the Provincial Federation of Labor proposed the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to award a certificate of merit in the Workers' Month 2025. "I always learn about each stage of the new product code on the line, instruct and train workers to perform the new stage carefully, to ensure productivity and salary. Actively participate in visiting other units on production improvement work. Through learning and production practice, I try to have practical initiatives for the Company and increase income for workers," Ms. Hang confided.
