To Lich River Park worth 4,700 billion VND expected to be built in 2 years

The Hanoi People's Committee plans to invest more than VND4,665 billion to renovate, refurbish and rebuild parks on both sides of the To Lich River.

The Hanoi People's Committee has just submitted a document to the City People's Council for approval of adjustments to the investment policy for the project to renovate, embellish and rebuild the park on both sides of the To Lich River.

According to the proposal, the To Lich River park project will build a system of roads, sidewalks, squares, parking lots, sports fields, playgrounds, riverside walkways and infrastructure items such as embankments, steps, ramps, curbs and flower beds.

In addition, the project also has architectural works including service areas, landscape highlights, auxiliary works, and additional trees, equipment and public utilities. The route plan and project location are prepared at a scale of 1/500.

The Hanoi People's Committee plans to invest more than VND4,665 billion to renovate, refurbish and rebuild the park on both sides of the To Lich River, from the third quarter of 2025 to the third quarter of 2027.

The project is proposed to be implemented in the form of BT (build-transfer) contract, payment by land fund of about 94 hectares in Phuc Thinh commune, including 47.6 hectares of commercial land (36.9 hectares of residential land and 10.7 hectares of commercial and service land).

The total land use area of ​​the project is nearly 738,000m², spanning many wards of the old districts of Ba Dinh, Cau Giay, Dong Da, Thanh Xuan and Hoang Mai.

According to the Hanoi People's Committee, the project was implemented under the direction of the Party and State leaders and is a project to celebrate the Capital Liberation Day on October 10. This content is expected to be considered by the Hanoi People's Council at the upcoming 26th session.

Many important projects started on the occasion of the Capital Liberation.

Previously, on September 11, the Hanoi People's Committee agreed on a list of projects and works to start construction on the occasion of the 71st anniversary of the Capital Liberation Day (October 10).

Accordingly, Hanoi will start construction on 8 key projects, including: Le Hong Phong Cadre Training School; Hanoi Kidney Hospital (2nd facility); Metro line 2, Nam Thang Long - Tran Hung Dao section, and at the same time announce the detailed planning of station C9 and the route plan from station C8 to station C10 (scale 1/500).

The city also started the project of compensation, support, resettlement, and site clearance for the square and park project east of Hoan Kiem Lake; component project 2 of Tran Hung Dao Bridge; underpass at Co Linh intersection (Long Bien); Thuong Cat Bridge and access roads at both ends of the bridge.

Notably, on this occasion, Hanoi also started the project of a park along both sides of the To Lich River and the project of building the Pearl Theater and a thematic cultural and art park in the area near West Lake.
